I have Shih Tzus and it would not trim their paws. Too late to return to Amazon so contacted seller.Seller has been no help so am stuck with a useless product!Very disappointed!

My dog isn't a fan of it because he's a chicken of pretty much everything BUT this tool works pretty good. Low noise and barely any vibration . Would recommend

it is a good shaver but I would say that for long/tough nails, it takes a very long time to shorten them with this alone. Not good if your dog is too wiggly/not used to nail devices. It would be easier to clip the nail and just use this as a shaver to shape the nail. I'd say for small dog or puppy it should be fine though

For the most part, I like these trimmers. As far as getting the fur from between my dogs toes, this trimmer works great. It is kind of awkward to hold because of how small the razor tip is, but it’s doable. My dog, however, is very much afraid of it. I think it’s grabbed a hold of, or pulled his fur just a little bit And now he doesn’t like it near his feet at all.I’m still going to use this trimmer because it does work very well however, I do feel that it could be quieter and just a little more sharper.

My Staffy is totally fine when I use this on his feet. Very quiet, doesn’t pull the fur between his toes. Cuts the hair nicely.

Tondeuse presque silencieuse, rechargeable et fonctionne bien. Mon chien est très réactif et il était difficile de lui enlever le surplus de poils sous les coussins. C'est maintenant très facile et il n'a pas peur.

Our malti-poo has super sensitive paws. I suspect they may be ticklish since he seems to involuntarily jerk them back any time we touch them. This device is a little less bothersome than the bigger trimmers.He has a habit of getting round stickers (clover seeds?) in the void between the pads of the paws due to the fine hair. This does a good job of reducing that hair in a minimal amount of time. He can only take so much tickling before he becomes angry.I tried to see how long the device would run on a single charge. The switch will let you run the cutter with or without the light. With the light on, I ran it continuously for over 2 hours. In that time there was no indication the battery weakened. I finally shut the trimmer off, tired of waiting for it to go dead. If I were a pro groomer I doubt I'd need that amount of run time in the course of a full day of grooming.My only complaint, and the reason for 4 stars, is the upper blade is made of a plastic. Maybe they do that so it self sharpens continuously, I don't know. After the 2+ hours of running I did trim the hair off the back of my hand and it did a good job, so maybe it's ok. And the tool is very inexpensive and would not get so much use that it will wear out anytime soon. For now it does the job and I'm happy with it.

We have a Labrador and a Catahoula hound that are both getting up in age and struggle to steady themselves on the tile and hardwood due to the hair growing through their paws. I typically use an old beard trimmer to trim their paws for them but after using this I will no longer need to.This little trimmer has a surprising amount of power and on the highest setting mowed right through the thick hair of my Labrador. She was not afraid of the trimmer either as it is much quieter and easier to maneuver than the old beard trimmer.The small trimmer head size allows for you to easily get in between the pads on their paws and does not pull or nick them at all. She was very receptive to me using this trimmer on her and would be great for someone with a small dog that needs to trim some of the hair on their face. This would have been amazing to use on our little Maltese to trim his beard and eyes due to the small size and ability to control it better than a larger trimmer. Would certainly recommend this little trimmer!Only con: a nice addition would be a little carrying bag to store the trimmer and additional pieces in.
