Really good quality product. Solid platform. Clips are threaded and very stable when hand tightened. Great helping hand for ckt board repair.

The shame is that this could have been a great product. The claw holds devices very firmly. The magnets are very strong and the clips do a good job holding the circuit card.However, I was stabbed by the metal shards left on the product because they did not clean it after it was machined. When I cleaned it using isopropanol alcohol (electronics lab) the yellow paint came off on the cloth, and the rubber feet they provided stained my benchtop mat.I replaced the rubber feet with something of better quality, but they should do some work on improving this product.

It's okay, but the metal base plate is laughably small.I can't imagine any use case where you won't be needing more space on the steel base plate.I expanded the plate with a 12x4 in by 1/4-in thick steel plate and now it's usable.

The magnets that anchor all these pieces are *really* strong, they don’t move unless you want them to. And this kit comes with a clamp that screws to the base and really won’t budge unless you want it to. The base, helpfully, is also pretty heavy. As others have noted it’s not very big, but for how I use it, that’s fine.

I have been hobby soldering for close to 20 years. I don't really use any professional tools, usually just fixing odds and ends. I have historically used the classic two alligator clips with the magnifying glass. This is way more versatile. I love the magnets allowing me to easily adjust and store the holders where I want them. The setup feels sturdy and has given me a renewed sense of excitement for working on projects. The plastic tips on alligator clips are a little slippery, they seem unnecessary for the projects I do anyway.

Honestly wish the plate was only a little bigger BUT the arms are GREAT! All of the components are awesome, good quality, and packaged well! The price is a steal for how great this is, though I'd suggest buying/making a bigger base plate because the one it comes with gets pretty cluttered when you attach all of the pieces. (Just don't attach the pieces you're not using I guess... but it looks so cool when they're all there so...)

Great product for the price, the plate is heavy, the magnet are strong enough. everything seems good to handle device and not slip off the table.

Quality is outstanding. The magnetic version is by far the best. The solid metal base even comes with stick-on plastic feet to prevent sliding. It is very versatile for holding projects and storing your hot soldering iron. It is like having a helper at the project table.My recommendation: A nice enhancement feature to complete this configuration would be a magnifying glass with a flexible magnet mount. I might build one myself.

I'm impressed - high quality manufacturing, extra clips and protectors and foot pads provided. The manufacturer must have made a revision as the magnets are very strong and that the magnets are now integrated with the feet (they won't come out); powder coat looks strong (with any powder coat you can chip it if you abuse the coat).Excellent station with helping hands - I would easily purchase this again if I needed to (well built) at an excellent price.

Perfect for soldering or other hobbies where you need extra hands. This stand is very sturdy and the strong magnets allow you to place the flexible arms exactly where you need them without fear of them moving by accident. Great product. Very happy with my purchase.
