I am trying my best to get back into mountain biking. I had my bike custom built many years ago and time has taken its toll on the shifters. I had combo XT quick shift/brake pods from Shimano. The front shifter wouldn't shift to the largest gear and the rear would skip around no matter how much I adjusted it.These are pretty much a 1:1 replacement since they are also shift/brake pods similar in look and feel. Installation was pretty easy and took about 30 minutes to do the front and rear pods. While I still need to break them in and let the cables stretch a bit, it's a night and day difference from my old and worn set. Shifts are crips and the lever click into gear with good feel. Brakes are nice and strong.If you're looking to replace some old shifters or just looking into quick shifter set-up, these would do the trick.
