Adorable, however the pre-drilled holes about 20% I needed to redrill, which is why it only has 4 stars. If you do not own a drill and drill bits, then you need to purchase one with this item. Otherwise it is just lovely.We are using for invitations for my father-in-laws St Patrick's Day Party

This little library box needs to be assembled, but it came with everything needed for assembly, parts were labeled, and instructions were easy to follow. The only thing you need to make or purchase separately is the mount and post, or have some other way to mount it if you will be using it outdoors. Like other little library boxes I have assembled, it needed a little extra attention to detail when assembling parts, but it is worth it for the great price. I also really appreciate that the fully assembled library box is lightweight and easy to carry (before adding books!) I used wood glue in addition to the screws for assembly to strengthen the box, though I do not think it is necessary. I will be using this box as an addition to my outdoor little free library box setup for a gifting box, but it could also be used to hold books (because it can hold ALOT of books despite its smaller size!) When the weather gets a little warmer, I am going to customize this box by painting it, which also adds extra protection from weather. I will also be adding caulking to seal the corners, and thin weather sealing tape to the sides of the door. I am also going to add a latch to the outside of the door for extra security. I am adding all of this extra protection because I want this box to last as long as possible outdoors. Once it is customized, I will be adding it to my LFL setup. Overall, I think this LFL box is definitely worth it, especially if you are like me and do not have skills, tools, or time to build one from scratch!

First of all, I appreciate taht the wood for this is decent. I expected it to be poor, but they sent nice pieces with it. The hardware... well, you can always use your own if you find that some of the pieces are sub-par (as I did). It is an easy build, and can be a fun project to do with a kid. It is pretty small, so the number of books and such you might put in it are limited. We actually set ours on the front porch where we put kids series in it for the neighborhood kids to come borrow. They have a sign out sheet as well. They have been really good about returning them when done for other kids. It helps having a camera pointed at it to help encourage their honesty. lol. They can also choose to hang on the porch in a bunch of comfy chairs and read right there. It is fun to see a bunch of kids coming by to read though.

What a cute little library box! Pretty eay to assemble. The directions were not super helpful but it doesnt take a genius to figure out how everything goes. Super cute when it's put together and feels very sturdy! It's been doing well against the weather here in the south so far! Absolutely recommend, so adorable!
