This is an excellent device. My mechanic couldn't fix the electrical problem with my Ford E250 cargo van. The electrical problem would drain my battery overnight. With this device, I can remotely disconnect my car's electrical system from the negative side of the battery and remotely reconnect and start the vehicle instantly. What a great product!

I have had issues with battery draining on very cold days on my Expedition for a while now and 2 auto shops cannot find problem they kept blaming a bad battery core. I saw this Remote Battery Disconnect and I figured why not give it a try. I am so happy that this works. I turn off my car, then turn off the battery, next time I use my Expedition I turn on battery and then open door lock and then car starts on first try. This has saved me from have to jump start my car every morning. I very happy with it. Also, was easy to install.

I've purchased this to make disconnecting the battery in my truck easier from a parasitic draw. Shortly after installing this My truck's starter died. I assumed it was just old. Had a new one replaced to the tune of about $500. When I got the truck back I hooked this back up and within 10 starts and 50miles my starter failed again. It was replaced under warranty and when I went to retrieve the truck the alternator had failed. Upon consulting with my friend that owns a speed shop he determined it might be a bad ground. Considering this attaches to the ground cable it seemed as a logical point. I have uninstalled it and had no further electrical Gremlins. I would rate this a zero star if possible do not purchase this or you will set yourself out many many more dollars. I'm out to the tune of about $1,000. Do yourself a favor and just purchase a manual disconnect.

My lexus has had a parasitic battery drain problem since i bought the car car 1 1/2 years ago, wish i knew before i bought the car , if the car is driven everyday no problem, if the car sits for more than 2 days battery is not dead but not enough power to start the car . I watched many youtube videos trying to find a solution , one day i looked on google and found this battery cut off, on amazon found the top rated devices and went with the matell, i installed it myself, easy, bingo, problem solved, i can leave the car off for any amount of time, click the matell remote, power up the car and everything work perfectly, i only have to reset the cars clock .
