I really didn't want to take this out of the packaging but had to, just to get the photos of the minute details that are included.I've played Minecraft on and off since 2012 (ish) across many platforms and was always a fun activity for me and friends many of us who were adults even back then but mostly as a fun platform to spend time with my son allowing him to explore his own creative path, so this will take a place on my shelf as a constant reminder along with the memories. The toy/figure itself is well-made not like a some toys nowadays, it is flexible but strong enough to stand on its own, the attention to detail is great, from textures to small touches like the pouch/tag on the Piglin's belt they all look superb. The Ghast has a sound effects that are even better when removed from the box as whilst in the packaging it is in demo mode which cuts the audio length quite a bit but once the tag is removed from the back it will play for a good few seconds, the fireball mechanism is not overly powerful but for me this is a good thing as it's less likely to cause pain if it hits someone but also limits how far away it can travel so less likely to get lost as you only get 1 fireball, removing the basket from the Ghast is made a lot easier by them adding a release mechanism using 1 of the legs which is a great touch as you're less likely to break something trying to pull it apart.Whether the movie does well or not this will no doubt make a great gift for any Minecraft fan I know I'm enjoying it, and it will sit nicely on my shelf for a long time to come.

I have to say I'm so pleased that I read other reviews before writing mine because I know very little about Minecraft. I just thought it might be great for the kids as they are huge fans. It was a nightmare to get out of the box but this might not be a problem for collectors. It's very well made and sturdy but you would expect this from a very established brand. I have to say personally that if you had given this to me as a kid I would not have been impressed by the blaster, but they didn't mind. At £35 it seems a bit steep for what you get, but objectively it seems fine as a brand item.

As you can see from the picture, the packaging wasn’t the best in the world. The picture shows that the two layers of cardboard that the box is made of, were supposed to be held together with a sticky tab but it wasn’t sticky and had come off. The toy itself is nice and works as intended. It fires the flame gently but this is good as it won’t hurt anyone if pointed at a person. It makes very eerie sounds! A good toy let down by the poor packaging. I have removed one star because of the shoddy packaging but otherwise, a nice toy.

We just watched the minecraft movie and as a minecraft fan myself, I really enjoyed it. My daughter has really gotten into it lately and she loved the animation. This toy captures that animation style in a nice ghast with attached support and piglin warrior. The crossbow is removable and the feet of the piglin has holes so he can stand in the carriage without falling off. The toy did require some basic assembly, however, I did find it was frustrating to open. I take it it's packaged for anti theft when placed in-store, but just frustrating to unbox in person. The Ghast is nice and launches the fireball when the head is pressed. There's some sound that plays shortly after. The fireball only goes in one way which is nice to prevent any damage to the firing mechanism. Overall a fun toy for any minecraft fan and even better for those who have seen the movie.

My nephew’s face lit up the second he got it. Took about two minutes to figure out how everything worked, and he was already setting it off around the living room. The moving parts are sturdy enough for play without being delicate. Sound isn’t too loud, which I appreciate as someone in the same room. He’s dropped it a couple of times, but nothing’s broken off yet. It does exactly what a toy like this should—holds attention and encourages imaginative play. Easy to put away and doesn’t leave bits scattered everywhere. Bit on the larger side, but still fits on a shelf for storage.
