This bag is far less effective than an older model Mission Darkness bag I bought several years back, the one with the clear window on its outer fabric.I have had my phone ring in this bag, I have received messages using this bag, emails, and so on.Super disappointing considering what I paid for it, and the fact that I was looking for another blackout bag that was equally as good - if not better - as the first one I purchased from this company..Yes, I know how to use it. I've been using Mission Darkness bags for several years now. The inner velcro must be securely rolled & fastened in order for it to be effective. Supposedly. Because with this one, it makes absolutely no difference.It also will not fit in the average jacket pocket, and definitely not into your pants pocket. Not by a longshot. It's more the size of a small women's clutch purse when all zipped up. To be fair, neither did the older model I bought some time back. Just stating this fact in case someone thinks it's a handy case you can slide into a pocket.The plusses to this bag are:• if you drop your phone, it's protected from being obliterated• it protects your phone when being packed in to another bag full of electronics, cables etc - no scratches, no screen damage, no case damage• it has extra inner pockets which you can put receipts, cash, notes, lists, a key, a car door fob etc in / I only ever have pieces of paper in here in case anyone might assume maybe what I'm carrying in the bag might lessen its ability to block signal• it protects your phone from water• it's comfortable to carry in the hand• it makes it easy to grab your phone out of a bag without even looking because you can immediately feel exactly where it is, even in the bottom of a duffle bag or computer bagI'd buy it again, but not for its signal blocking capabilities, which are absolutely minimal. I'd buy it as a practical, protective bag for my phone. Nothing more, nothing less. Being as it's advertised as blocking signal from getting through, I'm giving it 2 stars only.

I love it, works great, I've used it for my phone and car fob. Blocks signal as advertised. I wish the other side of the bag had the same protection so I could put credit cards on the other side. It would be perfect for traveling. I will have to buy something small for my credit cards to put in the other side with the mesh pockets.

The material is durable. The size can act as a purse. However, there is only a small compartment within to place your cell phone to be protected from EMF. Your keys and credit cards are not protected outside this special compartment

Do not buy it. This product is useless, my Apple 11 is able to receive notifications and also connect to my cars bluetooth while still remaining inside the protective barrier.
