It's made of silicone, and that's pretty much it. There's nothing special about this matt, says my friend Matt, who wanted to be the official mat guy from Amazon. I had to tell him to pound sand. It's my mat, Matt!I'm the only official Amazon mat guy. I wouldn't lie to you.

I purchased the 17" x 11" blue matt. Its made of a very flexible silicon. This matt does not slip or let anything on it slip. It has 4 magnets built into the silicon that holds tools, screws, etc. You can even magnetize or demagnetize screwdrivers. There are several compartments for holding small screws, nuts etc. It has little troughs with numbers and letters so you can organize your parts in disassembly/ assembly sequence. Being made of silicon I suspect it would be heat resistant although I have not tested that. I have had a few splatters of soldier on the matt with no effect. Overall a great matt that protects your table, counter, work desk from scratches and burns. Works very well for any electronic repair work. Good price.

Buena para reparaciones que no requieran soldar ni cortar. Como viene doblada en el empaque original los dobleces no desaparecen totalmente aún después de 2 semanas de dejarla extendida.

I haven't tried any high heat repairs on this silicone mat, but so far it has worked well for me.It's a nice surface to work on and being able to sort hardware into the different sections is nice.My two complaints are that it is hard to clean (markings or dust) and that the flaps on the top sections continuously open on their own.

This mat is great, super supple and soft so you can early roll it up for storage. Lots of nooks and crannies for small parts. Lots of larger spot for small tools. The surface is very non-slip and parts stay put. Not sure how I survved without this piece of kit!!
