Looked ok when opened however after I installed, engine would not stay running and stalled after 1 minute, put old ones back on. Cheaply made, should have known better.

Merc 5.0 MPI engine was giving two beep alarm every 60 seconds. This started after engine was stalling due to water in gas tank. Water problem was fixed, new gas and engine ran fine, smooth idle but still got the two beep alarm. Checked a few other possible sensors that could cause alarm but once I replaced the old IAC valve with this one the alarm was gone. May buy another to keep as a spare since takes only 5 minutes to replace.

I like the fact the part has fixed the engine idle issue. I ordered the same part from the same company to have as a spare, but the second part is different from the first. The first one ordered has a spring in it, but the spare doesn’t have any spring.

Both the IAC valve and the H2o pressure sensors I bought failed, the H2o sensor failed within an hour the IAC valve failed in about a month and they refused to refund as it was past 30 days. Terrible quality control so I just ended up spending more a buying Sierra products and I know have a working boat and they have been incredibly helpful to deal with.

Looks and performs like original ( $260 CDN from Merc.)Came bare metal so I used primer then Mercruiser Black spray paint. No gasket, but my 5L MPI has a gasket w/ a screen that wasn't easily removable so I cleaned and re-used it.Update; May 2024------ 2 years in operation and no problems-------

On l’a essayé, fit bien et il fonctionne. Juste un petit bémol: avec l’origine je suis à 600rpm au idle, avec lui à 900 rpm… je le garde en réserve au cas où.

So it’s def not a Mercruiser or Quiksilver quality, will it still do the job? So far so good, I was having an issue of my boat not coming down to idle when I would come into a cove after running for 10 or 15 minutes across open water, it would stay idled pretty high, 1000-1100 rpm which would cause it to be a hard shift back into gear, annoying as hell!I’m not a cheap guy(lol) but if there’s a part for $30 compared to $180, I’m definitely giving it a shot with the amount of high reviews. Only thing I noticed different was my Amazon part had a spring, my Mercruiser did not, I’m not sure if it use to and it’s gone or if depends on pressure to go back to it’s open or closed position. Anyways after installing and cranking it out of water, the idle is down to around 800rpms which should make the shift much less aggressive, and might even come down more when in the water.
