This assembly looks so much better than the originals that had delaminated buttons. Can't believe I didn't do this sooner. Have a 150k on the odometer of our 2010 GT Premium and we plan to keep it quite a bit longer. The button finish seems to be a nicer matte than the originals. They're very easy to install. Easier to understand if you check out one of the good vids on YT, but here's what I did:1) Lift surrounding spoke trimThere's NO NEED to pull off the airbag. Instead, just lift off the trim piece around the buttons, which is held snugly in place with 4 plastic posts. I just used a my cheap, plastic trim puller kit. Much better than a screwdriver so you don't scratch the aluminum. Use the wide-bladed tool (2-3") and start from the outer end. Be patient and steady with the pressure, it needs a little more force than you might initially think. But it WILL eventually lift. Once you get the end lifted, use a smaller puller tool to lift the top edge a little bit closer to the center of the wheel, then slowly work the piece up and off with your fingers.2) Separate button assembly from trimThe original button assembly will come up with the trim, but the wire harness is very short, so don't pull it too far out. The assembly slides out of the trim with a little help from a small puller or screwdriver (push from outer end toward center to disengage).3) Unplug assembly from harnessOnce separated, use a screwdriver to depress the clip for the wire harness. On this right-hand assembly, the clip is on top of the assembly (it's on the bottom for the left-hand side). Then gently work the harness out of the assembly socket.4) Install in reverse orderNow just clean everything up (14 years of dust underneath!) and reverse the sequence: Plug in the new assembly, slide it into the trim partially, then work the trim and assembly back toward the center and down into place. Tip: The assembly has to slide back into the trim, but don't slide it all the way in at first. Get it mostly there until you can work the trim toward the center, then push it all in and down together. A little fussy, but easy.Very happy, and all of the audio controls work perfectly without issue.

I ordered a pair of the right and the left hand side, I received the right hand side actuator, and it worked perfectly… Still waiting for the left-hand side part.

My old switch started to chip the black coating years ago. The switch was gradually getting worse every year.I ordered this product with free shipping. It was supposed to arrive within week. It arrived in only 3 days! That was the first positive impression I had for the product.Once I opened it it was a very well built product. This was my second positive impression. The original product on my 2011 Mustang had a black sheen coating on the switch module which chipped throughout the years. This product was built with a matte black material. This will prevent the chipping that I had on the original switch. The light illumination is a little less than the original but hardly noticeable.I would still take the trade off of the new product with less lighting than the original that always chipped. The reason being is that I see this product lasting much longer because I can't foresee the matte black material chipping at all.My experience was a quality product, prompt shipping and good cost. I was very satisfied!!
