  • Designed by our Sonoma, CA team, we worked with top repair shops around the country to determine the perfect angle for beveling fret ends. Dealing with fret sprout or after installing new frets, the 23° angle provides the ideal bevel on frets for all styles of playing. Use the 3° angle for initial filing, fret sprout, flush filing or tang removal
  • Fully adjustable 6” (15cm) file with a 2 ‘n 1 design that allows you to easily change between file finish, bevel angle degree, and is replaceable. One file side is Double Cut for heavy removal and a coarse cut with the other side of the file is Single Cut for fine removal and a smooth cut. The perfect 1-2 combination works for all fret wire types including nickel silver, EVO gold and stainless steel and helps get it primed for the next step, a fret dressing and polish
  • Our innovative handle design includes a curved radius underside that is wide enough to cover the entire fretboard and keep you centered while filing, providing consistent results across the entire fretboard
  • No detail is overlooked, the high carbon-steel file is treated with anti-rust coating and all 4 edges are polished smooth to protect your prized instrument. Our deeper channel recesses the file to clear the body when filing fret ends on acoustic guitars
  • Made of high quality Acacia hardwood that is durable and long-lasting and is ergonomically designed to give you comfort and control when filing. We even include a convenient hang hole

What if you could quickly and confidently bevel your fret ends? Filing fret ends with a consistent angle and finish has never been easier with MusicNomad’s B-File. With the ideal 23° and 3° file angles, no detail was overlooked in designing this revolutionary bevel file. The high-quality, durable Acacia wood ergonomic handle is shaped with a curved radius underside and is wide enough to lay centered across the entire fretboard, providing for unmatched stability when filing. The fully adjustable and replaceable high carbon-steel file includes a double cut side and single cut side, allowing for full customization to meet your needs. Our innovative design includes deeper channel recesses for the file, ensuring the file clears the body. That’s MusicNomad quality, bringing fret care to the next level

Picked this up to trim fret ends to file down fret sprout that occurred as result of seasonal change. Worked great - no damage to side of fretboard. Good weight for smooth movement up and down fretboard. I was even able to use it with strings on. Good value, ease of use and quality. If you own several guitars, a must have in the toolbox👍.

In short (sarcastic):- uneven (imagine you only using this tool for guitar neck, so why bother?)- clamping screws are damaging the file surface (then again, if the wood is uneven, why even bother about damaged file?)- overpriced as hell (but that is "USA made in China" Nomad's normality)It is really sad that a luthier tool will come with such a low quality. I bought new ones from StewMac and some Portuguese company. They are evenly shaped (the radius is correct, and not changing every few centimeters), and the file holding crews are separated from the file by thin steel bars, so the file itself stays undamaged).

This file came with a few quality issues. One of the screws was stripped and therfore kept turning and would not clamp down the file. The other issue was a crack in the wood near the location of the blade. Just a matter of time before the wood would split. It's too bad because the concept is great.

Love the way it cuts fret sprout. There's a 0 degree and 3 degree setting. Bit of masking tape down the sides use the 0 degree first, then the 3 degree after and you dont have to worry about filing each fret at the edge. Dont do what I did, whizz down the neck and it slip off and scratch the frets you've so lovingly levelled, crowned and partially polished. Slow and steady wins the race. Almost foolproof unless it's driven by a fool. I got there eventually.

I waited until I really used this before reviewing. Purchased because I was already pushing my guitar tool budget and needed to save some money, so I chose this over the more expensive StewMac file. I'm so happy with it!! the angles are perfect, the included file is sharp and quality, the slots are big enough to put any other file in too if you want. It's comfortable and very nice looking. Just great, I love it when the more affordable option over-delivers.

I have another like this, but this is superior. It's great that you can change the angle.

As with the other 1-star review showing on Amazon, the included file did not fit in the handle at all. I could attempt to widen the slots, but at this price point that shouldn't have to be done.

Excellent tool, love the 3&23 degree angles. 12 " radius on the block. You can sand the fretboard . Removable file is perfect for levelling under the nut as well, files well on its side edges. Awesome product!
