MusicNomad never disappoints. I've acquired a good chunk of their products since I started working on my own instruments, and I'm sure I'll get more as time goes on.These radius gauges are accurate, convenient to store, clearly labeled, and durable. Bonus points for including the usage instructions on them, too. Very newbie friendly.

got a set of understing gauges from stew-mac, poor quality uneven arch and not reliable, these over string radius gauges are far superior. recommended.

Pros:- Black gauges with easy-to-read text makes it a lot easier to use in varied lighting conditions. Smart product design.- covers everything from 7.25"/9.5" vintage radiuses up to modern 16"/20" radiuses. Covers pretty much all radius options. I can use this on everything from my older teles to my modern Ibanez 5-string bass, and successfully check the fretboard radius. I have yet to try it on my compound radius instruments, but I'm confident they'd line up.Cons:- The gauges are THIN AS ALL HELL -- I held one up next to my feeler gauges that I use to measure truss rod relief, and both gauges are less than .025" (.635mm) thick -- for ~$30 CAD after tax, I would expect these gauges to be thicker... I mean, at least a couple mm. Granted, you shouldn't really be chucking precision measurement tools around in a gig bag or under other heavier tools, but for the price I expected more.- Despite having printed instructions on the gauge, I would not suggest using these to measure string radius (it suggests you can measure about 1/4" from the saddles). They forget that string gauge varies (affecting the radius on the top of the strings) and the fact you should measure string radius from underneath the saddles using a proper string radius gauge... it's the bottom of the strings that touch the frets, after all. But that's a minor gripe.Giving 3 stars as they work, but for the price point and the quality of the tool I expected something more durable. I've had them less than a week, but my gut tells me at some point they may need replacing if one gets bent accidentally.
