I own a fair number of earbuds and some over the ear headphones that I've tried cycling through for work calls. The technology seems to be improving every year and despite the hear through features my main issue is that if you are running or engaged in some activity that requires impact or movement is that they might fall out or aren't as comfortable over time.If you are looking for noise cancelling and being walled off from surrounding sounds the Shokz aren't what you are looking for but are very comfortable and provide a great experience in terms of being able to hear all that is going on around you.The sound quality is nowhere near true TWS earbuds or over the ear headphones with the frequency range and tuning definitely geared towards vocals and if there is a lot of ambient noise you definitely need to crank the volume a bit to hear what you are playing clearly. The battery life when listening to music is quite decent as it charges quickly via USB-C (love this) and lasts well into the double digits when you are using it just for voice calls. I can also wear my glasses while wearing the Shokz without any interference in his the transducers rest on my skin.I do wish it was easier to shape the back arch as these don't rest as well when I am lying down.Users on the other end of calls state that my voice comes through very clearly and the noise cancelling dows a great job getting rid of background sounds (e.g. if you are running a tap loudly, or even a juicer running I'm the background) and being able to swivel the mic closer to your mouth helps support clear calls. You can operate a number of functions using the MFB on the side as well as through a combination of taps on the +/- buttons. To mute and unmute calls you tap the button near the mic.I wish these had a better IPX eating as I would be interesting in wearing these in the shower to listen to podcasts but I am not willing to risk that.Shokz offers other version of their products that can be used underwater or offer more bass. I think this is a great product and it is definitely my new go to for voice calls or while walking around due to the excellent battery life and multipairing abilities. There are also two EQ settings you can control via the Shokz app as well as the multipoint settings.Overall I think these are reasonably priced for the quality that you get but I do wish that these had a higher IPX rating. Also included in the box is a charging cable (no charging brick) and a very nice case (it is a thicker case as you can't flatten these). I understand that it is more profitable to have different variations of this product to increase profits but my preference would be to pay a bit more and have the other features built in.In short, this product is excellent for sports (non water) and office use (also very comfortable, I have no issues wearing these all day) but if your main focus is audio quality you may want to stick with earbuds or over the ear headphones.

I needed a head set for work and heard good things about this brand and decided to order this.My experiences has been great so far with this Bluetooth open ear head set and here’s why. The sound quality is great and I usually have the volume at 65% and I can hear the audio fine. The Bluetooth connectivity was easily to connect to my laptop even though this set does not include a wireless adapter to the laptop. Once it’s connected, all I have to do is turn on my head set and it connected immediately. It’s wire- free and less hassle. The battery life has been excellent, I use it about 3 to 4 hours a day on my work calls and don’t have to charge it until the end of the week. And charging is quick as described. I can also easily connect to music when I am not on work calls. I also like the open ear design as I can still engage with in-person conversations.I like the soft felt feel of the headset and the nice case that’s comes with it. The head set is easy to use with just 3 functional buttons. The only down is the head set is not adjustable and there are a lot of spaces in the back. Having said that, the headset does rest nicely around the ear and does not pinch or pull, and comfortable to wear. The sound and feedback for my calls are great and I do find it noise cancelling. I also like how the headset is tiny and flexible and not bulky.Overall 5 stars as it performs and function as expected. And easy to use and easy Bluetooth pairing.

ITEM REVIEWED : SHOKZ OpenComm2 2025 Upgrade - Open-Ear Bone Conduction Headphones,....................................Wireless Bluetooth Headset with Noise Canceling Mic & Mute Button....................................for Work Calls and Meetings, 16 Hour Talk Time - for Mobile & PC, Black____________________________________________________________________________________________I don't know where to start. There are so many PLUS points I want to make.RECEIVE AUDIO - I was extremely skeptical that I would like to listen to communication audio (telephone, chat apps etc.) with bone conduction earphones. Further I was convinced that entertainment audio (music, audio programs, audio books etc.) would likely just sound "ok". What a SHOCK I had during my first phone call using these. WOW did it sound good. Immediately I had to try to listen to some music... so I found and played my some of my favorite rock songs and of course a few of my favorite classical pieces. WOW It sounded great!!! And there was NOTHING inside my ears. The lows and the highs were there... plus everything in between. In the past I tried a pair of bone conduction earphones and that experience had tainted my opinion until now. SHOKZ is doing something new and/or different.... These things sound FANTASTIC. PLUS I can hear stuff going on around me as well - because my ears are not covered by earphones or plugged up with earbuds. The only drawback, which in my opinion is minor, and it's because you're not covering your ears, is that if the sounds in the environment around you are loud... well then you might not hear the music that well at that time. But you know, I expect that... and actually want that. IF someone is honking their car horn at me, I want to hear it and grab my attention anyway. AND I also realized that because it's bone conduction technology... people around me don't hear what I'm listening to... unless I crank the volume all the way... then they can hear it a little... but nowhere near as loud as standard earphones/earbuds can be heard by people around you. The maximum volume level these provide are just a little higher than I would want to listen to when my favorite tunes come on. So for me, there's more than enough volume here. AND at full volume these bone conduction headphones do not tickle (vibrate noticeably) like the older bone conduction earphones I tried. At full maximum volume, there is a slight vibration feeling when there's a lot of bass - but it was minimal - nothing like the tickling vibration from the set I tried a few years ago.MICROPHONE AUDIO - It has a FANTASTIC noise cancelling circuit built in. I still can't believe the nice clear and concise audio the other person hears when I'm speaking on the phone (or a chat app). Completely missing are all the sounds happening around me. I can drive with the all four windows down at 80km/h (50mph) and the other person hears almost no wind noise at all - they only notice it when I ask... and they say that they really have to listen for it. Driving by a construction site was not detectable either... I heard it... but the person I was talking to didn't. Now I was a fair distance away... and it was at the volume level of approximately someone sitting next to me talking a little loudly (still talking... not yelling)... I suspect however if the construction noises were much louder (if I was in the construction site?), of course the other person might then still hear some of (or more of) the noise... but still much reduced. During the same telephone call I turned this headset off and continued the conversation using the built in mic and earpiece in my smartphone... The person I talked to was amazed at all the background noises that they could hear now... that they didn't hear before!!!! I did notice though that when it came to voices/conversations around me, they were noticeably reduced in my tests, however not as much as other sounds. I suspect perhaps voices are more challenging for the smarts in the noise cancelling circuits - because they shouldn't be filtering out the person who's talking! and how can it tell the difference?.I did not really test battery life, although I did use the headset for about 2 to 3 hours a day after a full charge each night. BUT what is further amazing is that it that only takes 5 minutes of charging to provide enough charge for 2 hours of usage! So a little bit of math (and actual charging experience) says that it takes around 25 minutes of charging to fully charge its batteries. WOW! How is that for quick charging? Impressive! The current listed price is CND$209.95 which at first glance appears a bit dear. But when you see the quality build, and experience the excellent performance, you'll realize that you can't expect to get this at a bargain price. It's true, you get what you pay for. In this case I would say, you certainly do get your money's worth...FINALLY, I want to mention that I went to SHOKZ website. I was extremely impressed by their well organized and very informative web pages. I easily found the support pages for this model, and was easily was able to find and download a PDF copy of the manual (a paper copy is included in the box). SHOKZ have also created and posted on their website quite a few demonstrative help videos. I check for internet support for most products that I review. I must say that SHOKZ's website support pages for this product were far superior to many others I've seen in quite some time. This speaks volumes of their after sales support !____________________________________________________________________________________________* NOTE * - This product was provided to me FREE of charge as part of the Amazon Vine Review program without any conditions ... other than that I must submit a review within 30 days of receipt. I used to have an old shokz device but it gets some glitches therefore i order a new one to replace my old one.I think the design of it is really cool but u might better try it in person first, the attached microphone might not fit ur ear although the noise cancellation is awesome.I try it for few days but turns out it might not that comfortable for my head size so i return it and might order a swimming pro instead.# Update 13JAN2025I ordered a swimming pro, the mic is not as good as the comm2 but I feel more comfortable and it comes with IP68 that I can wash it from the water tap.

Speak to patients on the phone all day. I bought a $35 bone conducting headset for work. It was not worth the money. Then I bought this one, and I can't believe the difference! Sound quality is great for music, very good for spoken word, and the people I asked about how they hear me have all said crystal clear.
