This turbo is JUNK, the first thing I noticed was that it has play in the shaft and against my better judgment I installed anyways, after hours of very hard work, I had it back together, had it primed, and ready to go, after starting the truck, oil was spuing down the exhaust, you could see oil bubbling from the turbo to exhaust side, I’ve tried reaching out to the company and haven’t heard anything back, it’s just and a complete waste of time and money

I would not have purchased this product without some research first. I checked the best turbo for my vehicle and this one was a top the list. I have not had any problems so far. Keep in mind, the turbo has only 300 miles on it so far. I hope it lasts as long as the original.

25k miles so far on my personal work truck. Tows everyday. Mostly flatbed with a skid loader. Still no problems. Use your factory bolts though and do not add aftermarket parts. , like stated in other reviews.

Purchased the Stigan Turbo to replace my Garrett GTP38 and here are some details worth noting:Stock Turbo was:Compressor: 1.0 A/RTurbine: .84 A/RThe Stigan has a larger A/R ratio.Compressor housing A/R: 1.10Turbine housing A/R: 1.15So, immediately based on the numbers (and my experience so far running in my truck) spool up time is a little longer because of the larger exhaust housing. But the EGT numbers are slightly lower. That would be expected as the truck can 'breath' a little better on the exhaust side. We'll see if this improves my fuel mileage on the freeway since the exhaust is not as restricted at the 'top end' of the RPM range. Some additional notes:-I had to use the factory (Ford) Turbo to Pedestal bolts, because the aftermarket ones had a larger diameter head which would NOT fit on this turbo. So back to the 13mm head that is the stock bolts.-I had to machine my aftermarket wastegate controller (its a spring loaded style) because the pin on the waste gate connection point is a couple hundreds larger than stock; so my connector would not fit. After machining the arm on my waste gate controller, it works fine.Since I'm seeing slightly different bolts around the housing (it doesn't use the Ford/Garrett 12 point bolts) and slightly different attachment sizes (like the wastegate pin, and clearance on the Pedestal bolts), I'd be cautious of using aftermarket compressor wheels (like the Wicket Wheel, etc) since someone would need to test out the clearance on this.Other than that, it appears to be a decent design. I'll report back if I have any updates. In the meantime, it seems good for the money.
