Q: The scale is not accurate, how can i do?
A: You need to do the calibration for the scale. The scale comes with a calibration weight.
The calibration steps is : you need to press and hold the "CAL" button for 5 seconds, the scale will display the value of the weight , then you just put the weight on the scale until the value display, all is done.
Q: Can this scale calculate the weight in oz/square yard also?
A: The scale only can display the 'g', but it's easy to calculate the oz/square yard.
For example, and the gsm of the sample fabric= 500gsm(The GSM = Sample weight * 100), so the oz/square yard= 500*0.02949=14.745oz/square yard( 1 gsm=0.02949 oz/square yard).
- The disc cutter comes with one pcs of rubber pad. the pad belongs to consumables, if it broken, you need buy it yourself.
Note: Rubber pad is rubber product, and the smell of rubber is a normal phenomenon.

Thescale has counting function
Press the COU/AFF key to display "10" (the number of samples can be adjusted by pressing TAR/CAL), put 10 samples, confirm the number of samples by pressing the COU/AFF key, and add the products that need to be counted to achieve the counting.

Step 1:
- Put the cloth between therubber pad and the sampler.
Step 2:
- Unscrew the protection bolt, rotatethe adjusting circular shaft to adjust the thickness of the sample, then tighten the protection bolt to fix it.
Step 3:
- Fix the sampler tray with the left hand and press the plastic handle with the right hand, rotate 1-2 circles, then it can get 100cm² (0.01m²) sample cloth.
Step 4:
- The GSM= Sample weight *100
- The sample weight means the weight of the sample you cut with the disc cutter.

Malgré ce qui est écrit dans la description, il faut bien lire la dernière ligne. Ce produit ne calcule pas du tout le poids en gsm tu dois le faire toi même en calculant à chaque fois. Il faudrait que ce soit claire et évident de la part du vendeur pour éviter des retours...

In combination with the sample cutter, these scales are primarily designed for materials assessment, whereby you can measure the weight, in grammes per square meter, of a material. That gives you an idea of the quality, and is a measure used for paper and clothing fabric. As such, this is quite a niche product.However, if you ignore the sample cutter, you're left with a heavy duty and very precise set of scales, which are useful for all manner of other things. Post, food, DIY materials, precious metals, herbs, jewellery - all are suitable, and having a precise weight is useful. An example of this was some resin I needed to mix a few weeks ago, for a glass fibre repair. The mix called for precision, and these scales allowed me to achieve that. They've also allowed me to accurately asses whether a jewellers had given me a fair valuation on an old gold ring that they offered me money for.As a heavy duty set of scales these are not slim and ergonomic looking, they're chunky and solid and built of steel, so they'd look better in a workshop than a garage. But I like the solidity, and I'm sure it'll last long after cheap plastic kitchen scales have broken. Also supplied with my set was a 500g test weight, which is very handy. I use it to check the scales every time, to ensure they continue to give an accurate measurement. Interestingly, it revealed my old kitchen scales were wildly out, claiming the 500g weight was only 360g. No wonder my last cake turned out weird. I threw out the kitchen scales, and tend to use these instead now.

Scale - I have been using this scale for jewellery and resin crafts where accuracy is very important. I have been very pleased with the results. It is easy to use, accurate and is also a good size. You just need to make sure you get it properly set up and calibrated before you measure anything where accuracy is important.Cloth cutter - I haven't been using this to cut fabric for samples but for crafts instead. It does work well and cuts very accurately and cleanly. It does feel robust but I do feel that the finish could have been better. I know it is meant for the workplace and not my craft room but given the price I think they could have at least smoothed down the rough and sharp areas on the metal.
