This is perfect if your door does not have a deadbolt and like me you don't want to install one because you don't have the tools to do it precisely. Plus it's much easier to install.The only downside that there can be is if your door frame is not flush with the door you have to "cut it" to be flush. Even that is easier than installing a deadbolt lock.So. The lock is strong. The locking plate is thick and in the lock position it's a good 3/4 inside the also solid lock "insert".If you doubt a bit you can add longer screws to have a more secure peace of mind but the screws are long enough for me.For $18 it's an excellent deal for peace of mind.Excellent buy.

This was pretty easy to get installed and it definitely makes me feel safer while being easy to use.Happy with the quality of this and it’s simple to use when installed. Keeps my door locked when needed and it looks good to me… I’m happy with it overall.

I like it, although it's small and wouldn't stop a door from being forced, it prevents the unwanted opening of a door that it is affixed too.

I am using this lock on a door inside my business that opens out. The install was very easy and it comes with a plate for the latch to close against. It is well made and while it gets a lot of use in my business, it has continued to perform perfectly.

It works but required me to trim my side broad which was annoying.Each end has to be installed in the same level surface.Not as convenient as I thought it would be since I need to trim off the siding of my door.The door and the wall are not in the same level.Be honest, I never see anyone's door and the siding are in the same level.
