If you’ve ever used a spring compressor with the exposed screw and felt like you were working with a ticking timebomb, I suggest you upgrade to this style.For a specialty tool that you’re not going to be using daily I feel they are a good value for the price point. Good enough quality to get the occasional job done, but not overpriced so that you feel remorseful for buying them to use for a single job. They easily compressed the springs of a 2018 Ford F-150 4x4.Some mechanical aptitude will be necessary to set them up properly as there aren’t any instructions included. I suggest to remove the main screw and add more grease to it as there isn’t much on there to start with.These will now be my go to compressor when the need arises.

I had trouble getting oversized springs off our OHLIN coil overs with our original spring compressor too. On this tool the spring perches are thin enough to get in between the springs. Worked great!

Worked as described. Best in larger clearance vehicles, but worked on my 04 sienna minivan. Follow the instructions, as it’s very dangerous to do incorrectly.

This tool does the job its intended to do. Its very sturdy and built well. I enjoy buying my tools off of Amazon because its much cheaper than buying off the tool truck and usually cast one quarter (or less) than what you would pay buying off the tool truck

Used it on my 2023 Tacoma front struts, coil springs on these are very hard to compress, this tools did the job. The design is excellent, it didn't slip or even move from where I started from. Very well built, will recomend it.
