I like the single blade for cutting plastic resin and I even use it to cut small wood pieces for models. Got it on sale so it works well for the money. Good size and seems to hold its cutting point.

As a plastic model hobbyist, I recently purchased the O’Shine advanced single-edged sprue cutters OS-019 and I am highly impressed with its performance. The super thin blade, made of Chromium Molybdenum steel and heat treated to hardness HRC60, cuts through plastic model kit gates and runners like butter while minimizing whitening marks. This quality single-edged gundam nipper is a must-have for anyone working with plastic models.The precise cutting ability of the OS-019 O’Shine single blade nipper is remarkable. It cuts off flushes neatly, leaving a smooth surface without the need for sanding or trimming. The anti-slip grip provided by the ergonomical PVC dipping grips makes it very comfortable to hold. Additionally, the durable structure, including the side block to prevent over-opening and the screw under the spring to prevent overcutting, ensures its longevity and excellent cutting feel. The inclusion of an extra leather sheath for blade protection is a thoughtful addition to the set. My only complaint is the handles are not as comfortable as some of the others

First impression of the tool is that it appears to be high quality. The snipper is comfortable to hold and it's easy to cut. The spring opens up the snipper when I loose tension. There's a stopper in the cutter I think to prevent unnecessary pressure when the edges meet to help with longevity of the edges (probably also to ensure the tool does not exert unnecessary force on the plastic parts the tool was designed to cut). A nice touch the tool came with a plastic cap for the sharp edges. A unspecified use i found really helpful was when my glue gun accidentally had heated glue flowed into the gun internally and dried inside. This snipper has very sharp edges and I was able to make progress on cutting off dried glue pieces bit by bit from the inside surfaces after disassembling it. In conjunction of a tweezer, I was able to remove most of the dried glue and the glue gun was functional again. This is a tool I now keep in my drawer.

Cuts through plastic very well and feels great in my hand. Nice and durable too. Feels springy and responsive.
