I measured my husband and purchased the vest size listed (using their size measurement chart). I purchased a 2X so it would be slightly too big. Not only was it too small, it was WAY too small. Would have needed another 2 inches just to button it. I made sure they sent the correct size and it is labeled 2X. Don't trust their size/measurement chart. While it's a nice vest and bowtie, it is not sized correctly, even based on their own measurements. For the record, my husband is 5'7" and weighs 230 lbs.

This is an inexpensive vest and tie good for a wedding, prom, or other event. The material is attractive to look at, but very thin. That's good if it's hot out, but also means it will have a limited lifespan. If you're buying for a singular event, you're good to go.The vest and matching tie are a very nice, deep blue. In some light the set looks more purple or blurple.I put this vest on and off three times. Every time I had buttons catch on thread on the back of the buttons. It didn't matter if I unbuttoned up or down, at least one button would always catch. Make sure you have a pair of scissors handy to cut any loose threads off, so you don't tear the garment if you've had a few and forget by that time of night.I didn't button the last button of the vest, as that is the style of vests so you can sit down comfortably. It's totally button-able, if you want to button it while standing.This vest is cut higher than what I typically prefer, but that helps to show it off if you're wearing a jacket with it.
