I've recently downsized my rig a little bit and I no longer wanted to bring my bulky guitar stand. I don't sing backups (the other band members took my mic away, probably for the best, LOL) but I use my mic stand for my IPad and drink holder....I added this contraption hoping it would hold my bass and it works beautifully! I do have a heavy bottom part to the mic stand for stability and I've never had any concerns with my bass falling off and crashing to the floor during a break. It's small, light, convenient, and I don't think I'll be bringing my guitar stand to a gig anytime soon.

Very pleased. My acoustic or my electric now has a home on my mic stand. One less stand to worry about on stage. Just be mindful of how you balance your mic stand. I have a mic boom are attached at top which helps to counter or balance the extra weight of the guitar. Use a good quality weighted mic stand.

i bought this to try with my king v as i sing and always trying to minimize the space i take up in rehearsal. this thing is awesome and works really well. it is plenty strong to hold any guitar and is easily adjusted. In the case of a boom mic stand I would recommend using a solid heavy stand so their won't be a tipping issue with the weight of the guitar, or at least line it up with the leg of the stand. I would recommend this to anyone.
