The most important thing to know is this bottle leaks. We had to go out for an overnight trip so we bought the 32oz bottle so our little bunny would have plenty of water and food for the short time we were away. At some point this bottle leaked, not talking just a drop or two, the entire bottle emptied into his cage. So not only did our little bunny not have any water, half of the bedding in his cage was saturated. Thankfully the Katee bedding absorbed it all.Second thing, and less important, is this bottle is not easy to take off the cage. The spring strap they give you with it is too small and tight to easily remove, and you have to remove it each time to fill the bottle.I usually like and trust Oxbow products, especially the hay quality, this time I am so disappointed with Oxbow and will think twice about future purchases from them.

Hasn't broken, doesn't drip. I avoided buying a glass bottle for so long because they cost more but, way better than the plastic bottle!

I ordered this for my younger guinea pigs that were housed in an All Living Things cage. The water bottle worked well for that type of cage, most likely due to the cage being comprised of horizontal bars. As time went on, the guinea pigs were getting significantly bigger and chonkier. I ordered a bigger cage (Midwest Guinea Habitat Plus) to accommodate for their size. Unfortunately, this water bottle was the only item that didn't fit well with the Midwest cage when I transferred their stuff from the old cage. The spout was not long enough to reach into the cage if the bottle was set outside of the cage. If I put the water bottle inside the cage, the spout was too low. I use the cover that came with the Midwest cage to keep my cat out, so I cannot position the water bottle higher than the full height of the Midwest cage (if the water bottle is placed inside the cage). Also, when I rotated the spout 180 degrees to accommodate the water bottle placement, the spout began to leak. I also noticed that the spout can be adjusted by pulling or pushing it through the rubber gasket/holder/whatever it's called, which didn't help prevent leaks. At one point, I was able to completely yank out the spout from the rubber gasket/holder/whatever it's called. The only way I could get the water bottle to work right was to place it outside of the cage and lean it backwards so that the spout would reach inside the cage and stop the leakage. This required using twine string instead of the spring attachment to hold it in place in such an angled position. Leaving the bottle in that position does not sit well with me because I'm afraid the bottle will eventually slip and fall. I ordered a Living World bottle that has a much longer spout to reach inside the Midwest cage from the outside.There are too many downsides that I cannot recommend this water bottle: it cannot fit well with a cage that is comprised mostly of vertical bars instead of horizontal bars; the spout is too short; the spout is prone to leaks if the spout is constantly rotated or not aligned properly with the rubber gasket/holder/whatever it's called.

I was first dissatisfied with this product the bottle kept dripping and the bottom of the cage was soaked. I had put in for a refund but I wasn't giving up that fast cause I really liked the thickness of the glass and the size it's perfect for our chinchilla Critter Nation cage. I had not used the wire holder it comes with only the spring with the clips and sure enough once I secured it with the wire holder the dripping stopped. Definitely keeping the water bottle!

Update: The manufacturer was very responsive and helpful. They replaced the defective bottle and sent me a new one. They also sent a pre-paid shipping label so they could inspect the defective spout. The new bottle seems great. It works as expected. For what it's worth I feed oxbow pellets and treats so it was nice to see how great their customer service is. It made me feel confident about buying their food and products for my bunnies.I bought this because the pet stores in town are only carrying plastic bottles. The glass bottle itself is fine but the two balls are stuck in the bend in the nozzle. I contacted the manufacturer directly to see if they can just replace the top with one that isn't defective since the bottle is fine. If they can and the new top is good I'll update the review to confirm, otherwise will have to return the entire thing to Amazon and buy a katee (sp?) bottle. I wanted to try this because I have had issues with the other brand leaking and had hoped this would be better.
