I used this for a Bernina sewing machine foot pedal it had 2- carbon tracers/electrodes in it at $11.51 a piece. I decided to buy this cut it down by etching it with a file then it snapped clean off down to 1/2 inch pieces. The Bernina carbon tracers were milled down at the end to hold the springs in. I simply drilled out the end to accept a straight piece of carbon verses a milled down piece. The pedal works as good as new. I have several to compare it to . It was a Bernina 290 foot pedal

Too short as you could severely burn yourself if not careful. This product needs to be longer to be useful.

Not a stirring stick at all they are more like a pencil lead 3" long.

I had no idea they made graphite rods this small for stirring metal. Ive only used ones the size of fat long pencil. This is the size of fat pencil lead. So check the sizes fellow metal casters.
