I have a German Shepherd. Brushing and vacuuming are a constant. And the brushing takes so long! I've resorted to shaving him once a year cause it was overwhelming. I just got this de-shedder yesterday, and oh wow! The amount of fur that came in huge clumps was amazing! I breathed such a sigh of relief, as I know I won't be struggling with a never-ending vacuuming cycle in my house again!

My dog dislikes being brushed with this. It does get caught in her coat. I have an uglier plastic one with a rounded shape that doesn't get caught on her fur that she prefers.

Works good on knots in our shaggy dogs hair but also our shaggy cows hair. Doesn’t handle cockle burrs but I haven’t found a brush that does. But it removes belly knots like it was made for it. But seriously if you have highland cows save your money and buy this over the weaver version.

Good sturdy rake! Works great in all of our dogs from a Maltese to a Malinois! Cant really get it through our Great Pyrenees coat but I’m still happy with my purchase!

We have two giant dogs, Newfoundland and St-Bernard. This is by far the best brush for double coated dogs. Doesn’t hurt their skin and removes lots of dead hair!
