Bought this for doing the transfer case and rear differential on my 2010 GMC Terrain, where the fill spot is in a weird spot, can't tilt the bottle to fill it. Bought this, and fits on a 946ml bottle of Pennzoil. The straw is maybe 3/4" too short to reach the bottom though, would have been better had it a flexible hose on both ends and gave you a few inches more.

This replaced a pump that did not have a swivel fitting on the end of the hose. The swivel makes it so much easier to attach to the gear case. Works great!

I have bought around 3 different brand name pumps over the years and its been a real pain to use them because there is no metal and compression fitting which keeps the plastic tubes in place. The design of those 3 brands I previously bought is flawed and I wasted lot of time making sure the plastic tubes did not slip. I used zipties to prevent slippage, but that never worked. This pump has the best design, and its a breeze to use - all fittings fitted my mercuriser outdrive and the pipes did not slip at all. Thank you for solving a important problem which most other pumps don't even try to solve.

I like this lube pump just because it has the metal threaded fitting instead of the cheap plastic threaded fitting, I had one with the metal threaded fitting years ago. It lasted me for many years. I would still have it and would still be using it now, but my daughter got married. So much for keeping anything now, Anyways, I did own a plastic threaded fitting kind and lasting only a couple uses then stripped out. This metal threaded fitting pump works very well. Screw it into the bottom lower unit hole with the upper lower unit hole open for air escape. Pump it up. When the oil starts to seep out the upper hole, then screw in the upper bolt. Having the lower hole bolt ready in one hand, remove the metal threaded fitting with the other hand. Then quickly screw in the lower unit bolt. Don't forget the rubber seals on both bolts. Do not shake oil in container, because you will fill up with lots if air bubbles. I hope this helps the first timers. This is the pump you want

A first-year boat guy here. I decided to change the lower unit oil myself. After researching the maintenance process on the internet I ordered the oil and this tool. Without a doubt this simple tool allows a do-it-yourselfer to change the oil without any issues. The only mess is when you disconnect the hose from the bottom plug. This would occur with any tool since you fill the lower unit from the bottom plug hole and race to put the plug back in once oil is draining from the top hole. Helpful to have a mat or scrap covering the floor below the lower unit when doing this job.
