Larger size pellets than I expected. Almost all of them are round, but there are some that are broken - this does not affect their function as growing medium and I gave it no consideration in rating 5 stars.

Très bon achat, j'ai acheté la poche de 25 Litre pour 56.99$ = total de 60.93$ canadien reçu dans une boîte amazone, et délais très apprécier. Je vous dirais que la grosseur des galet sont très bien pour les pots de plantes de maison, La grosseur de ces galets fait en sorte que cela se place très bien sous le petit feuillage des pousses. Car les pousses sont très délicates et on se doit de les manipuler délicatement. La quantité du sac je crois pouvoir faire vraiment beaucoup de pots avec. Moi j'en met seulement sur le dessus de la terre de mes pots et je rince les galets 1x par mois si besoin. Galets réutilisable à volonté, donc plus besoin d'en acheter pour moi. pierre(galet) léger et facile d'utilisation, aucune odeur, belle couleur, mes pots sont beaucoup plus estétique avec ce produit et l'évaporation est moindre. J'ai moins besoin d'arroser mes plantes. Je vous les recommande. acheter 10 litre pour ceux qui ont moin de place. mais L'argent investie en vaut la peine.

So, I usually use Hydroton leca but I was in a pinch and Hydroton was showing unavailable at the time. This stuff was reasonably priced and would arrive fairly quickly, so I bought it. When the box arrived I was a little concerned since the box was in rough shape and I’d seen a review saying theirs arrived mostly with broken leca and lots of dust. However, everything was fine and all was intact aside for the ‘normal’ amount of broken pieces you’d expect at the bottom of a bag for a product of this nature. When I went to rinse it and soak it I noticed how large the balls were, but still wasn’t overly concerned. Unfortunately when I saw it next to the leca I normally use that’s when I started to get a bit worried. It’s like twice the size of a standard Hydroton leca ball and it’s a lot less dense. I assume it’s expanded more/baked longer than a lot of leca I’ve used in the past. While this could be a benefit for air channels and the capacity of the medium to have a good air/water ratio, it’s not very helpful when it comes to potting up tropical plants aside from maybe a massive monstera. You’d have to mix this with perlite for it to work and not have massive air pockets in your pots. Id say you could mix it with other leca, but the issue is that it’s so much larger and less dense than other leca that it’s nearly impossible to get a homogenous blend in the pot and the giant balls don’t allow for the smaller balls to fill the gaps well. Pretty disappointed and will likely have to keep this to the side and mainly use in the bottoms of my soil pots for drainage. Leca as a medium isn’t the cheapest, so it’s extremely obnoxious to have ended up with a large amount of it that’s basically unusable for what it was needed for.

I recently repotted all my plants (well over 50) and added this to all the pots. I saw an immediate difference in plant health and growth. Helps maintain moisture and air around roots to prevent root rot.

Had to clean by hand and pick out broken pieces every handful! Spent over an hour cleaning this mess. On top of that numerous pebbles diamond size that would clog up my drip system. Would not buy again.

I use these for my terrariums and very happy with them. I used to use lava rocks for my false bottom but it made the tanks so heavy. Need to do a thorough cleaning because they are super dusty. The balls vary from small to very large which doesn't matter for my use.
