Despite that the item is described as 1/4", and in other Prime corners this is described as being the thickness of the blade that inserts into the frame, the blades on these are much thinner - 3/16" to be exact. So for others looking at these, the actual measurements are:- The corner section is 3/4" square x 1/4" thick- The blades or tongues are 1 1/4" long x 1/2" wide x 3/16" thick- The overall dimension of one side is 2".

This is a very low quality product and ia not strong, i had to use the corners for window frames and gave a very low hold on the 1/4x3/4 screen frame. Not recommended

The product description lists this item as 1/4 inch wide (0.250 inch), but it measures only slightly more than 3/16 inch wide (it is precisely 0.193 inch wide). It just rocks around inside the 1/4 inch channel of the screen frame. The item is very flimsy.

I made screens for my whole house out of these and the aluminum frame pieces that are sold here as well, 20 nice fiberglass double-pane windows. Ended up costing me $250 for everything instead of $2000 which local window companies wanted. This looked perfect with the windows. These corner pieces do make a very secure strong joint. The only downside is the they do not create a very ridged joint, so if you think you'll be sliding the screens up and down a lot then you might want to invest in a local company making all metal ridged frames. Since I will never be opening and closing screens it is a none issue for me. Its also perfectly acceptable considering the cost savings of this design.
