These are definitely a "you get what you pay for" item. They're very stiff, heavy and painful to use. While I wouldn't call them horribly dull, they certainly aren't sharp. Fine if you're in a pinch (which I was), but otherwise I'd recommend spending on good quality ones if you'll be using them a lot

I like the fact that these scissors cut close to my machine embroidery applique without cutting the stitches. the curve on the scissors make them much easier to use than straight scissors. There is nothing I dislike about them.

I used these to cut excess fabric on hems for bridesmaids gowns. Still need to be careful not to cut through the wrong side but very helpful in reducing that possibility.
