So far these are the best pants I've found. They're not the average Rawlings price because the material is much nicer and more comfortable, do they're well worth the money. Average Rawlings have a grittier feeling material that can rub the skin raw and aren't as well fitted. I'm so glad I found a pair that actually come in adult sizes. Finding adult football pants is hard enough, but finding ones in the extra big sizes is even harder. My 11 yo son is 5'8/5'9 and 200lbs and the 3XL fit him great. Maybe slightly big when we got them but they did shrink down a tiny bit so now they fit perfectly. The pads fit exactly where they needed and stayed there when they shrunk. Pre-washing he just pulled up his pants a few time and he was fine. I'd seriously recommend these for anyone, especially those having a hard time finding bigger pants!

I bought the adult 3X for my 14 year old GS and I first wondered if they were going to be too large, but by reading the other reviews I decided to go with the largest size. I'm glad that I did. They fit him perfectly. The quality is as good as any other uniform pants that we've had and the sheen of the material makes them look good.

After about a month of use the stitching is coming out in the pads, but overall a great pair and size is good for us. My son wears a 38-40 waist pant and has big thighs. They fit him great! This is the only football pants that fit my son. I even bought another brand of 4X that were too small. Whatever material these are made from stretches great. Same pants that we bought last year...the only one that fits larger frames.

I bought these for my son in his first season of football, after we bought some locally that were too big. I am glad I read the reviews because I did get a size larger than he usually wears and they were perfect. The belt isn't the best, but neither are the other ones he already had. Maybe they never really are? Not sure, but we'll be finding out as we go....I like the material, he uses them as his game day pants. And I appreciated the availability. Being "off season" they weren't available and I would have had to order them anyway.I would recommend them to others. (I only didn't include the last star because of the belt. He's always pulling up the pants after a play.) :o)

I read a couple of reviews warning that these pants wear out quickly. But, they were outnumbered 2-1 by glowing reviews, so I took a chance. I bought two pairs for my son this year. One pair is holding up nicely, but the other one is slowly disintegrating. It has several holes that continually grow, exposing the pad underneath. He's been wearing them for about 6 weeks.The other pair is fine. I'm not sure if that's because the workouts happen to be easier while he's wearing this pair, or if this pair happens to be as tough as football pants need to be.For this reason, I can't recommend the pants. I'd recommend just buying regular pants and a set of pads.
