Review written on January 28, 2025.Pros:This key case looks good and is a great value at only $15 to fix a key that has broken. My previous key broke and I used Plastic Epoxy Putty to make it last until the battery died and I could order a new case. I ordered the CR1616 battery from the dealership, it was only $3.71 CAD. They also told me an original key is $117 plus $50 for key cutting plus $100 for programming. The locksmith charged me $70 last time my key broke and It was not worth it to me to pay that much again just for a replacement case.Time will tell how long this key case lasts. Will update this review when/if it breaks. 🫡Cons:The two plastic halves were *very* difficult to snap together. I may have broken one of the plastic hooks that snap together due to the key case’s fit not being accurate. I think one side was slightly too big to snap in. Anyways, the separation of the two halves is on one side at the bottom near the screw hole. So, I am hoping it can still last a decent amount of time. If not, I will update this review. 🫡For now, I give it 5 stars due to the great value, the plastic seems thicker and stronger than the genuine key, and the fact it comes with stickers to make the key look like a genuine honda part.Tip: You can put cardboard underneath the bottom half of the key case before snapping the halves together to put more pressure on the electronic module, so that the spring loaded metal battery contacts make a stronger connection to the circuit board inside.

This product was for my Honda ignition keys. Did NOT fit al all!! Had wrong threads on screw that holds together and this in turn wrecked the threads on my key! Bad,bad product.Tried for several hours gave up and broke in pieces.Would like total refund.

Good price for what you get but poor manufacturing, no way I could use one the the screws that it came with

***NOTE*** If the metal blade of your key has a metal pin you must carefully drill out the metal pin to fit this case. This allows the key to slide into its plastic holder and the screw to pass through.

It is a little hard to close at first but It fits perfectly. By the way, I used it on Honda Pilot Touring 2012

A little tricky to put together as it did not snap together as I had expected but looking at the old “broken” oem key I saw that you had to do it in a particular order.Key must slid in perfectly (no wiggle)Aligned the back of the shells and slide closedFirmly pressed down to close the rest of the shell

This exactly fits my 2010 Honda Civic keys. Had a minor struggle putting them together, however if you follow the instruction and have little patience you'll be fine. Plastic shell feels sturdy. Hope it will last few years, time will tell.
