I bought this as a replacement for the on/off switch for a PSP 3000. The one that the PSP came with, has a little black tab that is used to open the area the ribbon wire is supposed to enter and then lock it in place. The product picture clearly shows that tab. The version I received does not have that tab, making it almost impossible to successfully insert the ribbon wire into the switch without damaging the ribbon wire and thus ruining the PSP entirely.

i broke the little black plastic switch on the original power board so i got this replacement but it was not what was pictured and it didn’t even fit the ribbon.. but maybe that’s because i couldn’t get it in with my nails or with just tweezers. it was also very faulty and badly manufactured.

As mentioned in another review, it lacks a securing tab, but it still functions and I had no problems attaching it to the ribbon cable. It won't fit exactly like the original, and the feel won't be as smooth, but it works decently at least.

I broke off the plastic switch on my original. This one was a direct fit, although the one pictured. This one has a friction fit connector instead of the securing tab, it still does the job though. One thing to note is that there was a little piece that was connected to the board that seemed to be extra from the production. You will need to snap that little piece off before installing

The ribbon cable connection is slightly different from the original part I was replacing on a PSP 3001, but it fit and worked correctly. The tiny little plastic bit broke on my old one and it's too small to properly try to fix with glue or something, so this is the most reasonable replacement.
