This 22" is a beast. I use 5A Nylon tip sticks and this ride gives me the sweet sound I have been looking for! No other ride cymbal bell punctuates like this too! Wait to you hit it! Wait till your sticks "shuffle" on it. Wait to you hear how the room transforms with that beautiful ride sound you know you want!The size and weight goes back "old-school" (like me) to a day when drummers wanted to "ride" without the cymbal getting away from them. Not a crash/ride...JUST a driving ride. Crash cymbals are specialty items and to each their own. If YOU like how one sounds...then get it!!I believe the ride is your most important cymbal along with your hi-hats. You should invest in the best you can afford. Then drum away for a life time!

This cymbal sounds wonderful. However the shipping was slow and poorly packaged for international shipping.

Wow wow wow. Don't think anything bad could be said about this ride. Have a growing collection of rides, dating back to a Classic A Ping from the 80's, and although I had been quite enamored with my Sabian 21" Raw Bell Dry Ride, I kept feeling that I hadn't found the perfect ride yet, ......... until NOW !!!!Soo many different rides out there, and drummers (or the music) really need the right one for the job. This is NOT a dark, dry, jazzy kind of a ride. If you want a PING ride on steriooids, THIS is the one to get. That is exactly the sound I was looking for. I have darker, dryer rides, but my old Zildjian Ping, and Sabian Raw Bell Dry Ride just didn't have the cutting ping and clarity that I was now looking for. I believe it is one of the heaviest cymbals that Sabian has ever made, and it shows. Very, very clear ping, no nasty under or overtones, some wash (but not in a classic jazz sense), and not only cuts through, but can carry the song. I never recommend buying anything drums or cymbals because of endorsements, but if you are in search of a modern PING ride, you just cannot go wrong with this. If you are a Zildjian K fan, or want a darker dryer ride, this is NOT the one for you. WELL worth the money, and sounds just as good live, or mic'd.

I've searched for years to find this ride cymbal! This ride cymbal cuts through the sound of the rest of the set, and rings loud and clear, with a very defined sound.
