I'm a small in women's clothing (size 4), but in ballet clothes I am a large or x-large! I ordered am x-large and it fits perfectly! I love the colour, long sleeves and neckline. 10/10!!

Love Sansha leotards, especially the pinched details. I haven’t danced in a thousand years and was worried about getting back into it. This Leo is great, stays in place and feels comfortable and smooth. I am usually a size 6 in womens, 5’9” 135lbs

Normally I'm a Capezio girl but I was looking for a burgundy long sleeve leotard, preferably with some nice details like pinched front and back, so this one looked just right to me.The material is thick and very supportive with a double lining in the chest area, the arms are rather tight and other than with most leotards actually long enough, the color is just like in the picture- I'm very happy with this purchase and also ordered it in lavender, pink and navy.About the sizing issue, I'm 5,4 and weigh 100 lbs and I've been practicing ballet for thirty two years, so I have a dancer's physique and usually wear a size 0 or 2 and I always need a size 5 in ballet leotards, Sansha, Capezio, Bloch, SoDanca, Freed, you name it, it's just the way they are cut, so bear in mind to size up accordingly.

It's great quality but I'm glad I read the reviews before I purchased it. I'm 5'2 and 118 pounds and I ordered a large/ size 5 and it was still very tight. I usually wear a women's small. I would have most likely been comfortable in an XL. Otherwise, I liked it

I bought this leotard at the same time as a Capezio leotard. The Capezio is fine, it's quality and it does the job. The sansha somehow manages to be of even better quality however, and feels absolutely beautiful. This is an amazing leotard, I'm extremely happy with it -- DEFINITELY always buying Sansha products in the future for all my ballet related needs. So gorgeous, would recommend this to everyone!

I guess we need to always remember that these leotards are made for girls/young women who practice ballet or other type of dancing, and they are skinny. Remember Black Swan? Both actresses lost weight, down to 95 lbs, to play those roles. Those are the weight classes I believe these leotards are made for. I normally wear a size 2 so ordered a size 4 and it's still TOO SMALL. I've sent mine back and will order probably a 5. Where it's the worst is in the arms which are way too tight, to the point of nearly cutting off circulation in the arms and hands. I am concerned that the waist and chest might be too large going up another size but we'll see.Other than that the fabric is great and the design is great, too. They're just made for very skinny girls and women so need to consider that. It's not just this brand, either. I ordered Danskin and another brand which were also way too small (I ordered larger sizes in those as well, which was good). I won't make the mistake again.
