You were all ready to go for a ride and. . . darn it if you tire doesn't need a little more air. No worries, you have the Schwinn Air Center Max Floor Pump. Sure, there are plenty of bike pumps out there, but the Air Center Max has several key features that make it a great asset when you're in a pinch. There is a wide metal base that keeps it stable and an indicator-style pump head that takes the guess work out of wondering if the pump head is truly attached to the valve. When the handle is up the window is green, meaning it is ready to connect. When the handle is down, the window is red, meaning it isn't ready to connect. Easy, right? You have the option of a Presta or Schrader valve so all the bikes in the family are covered. With a pump, the height of the barrel is equal to the capacity, which is how much air the pump can push into the tire per pump. With a 24-inch barrel height and a 44mm diameter steel barrel, you'll get a nice gust of air with each pump, which means fewer pumps for a fully-inflated tire. There are molded handles for comfort, a convenient top view gauge that goes to 100 PSI, and an included sports ball needle and inflation cone for all your pumping needs. Nothing is holding you back, enjoy the ride with a Schwinn.

Husband had only used portable bike pumps until he purchased this one, so he was very impressed by how easy, fast, and ergonomic this was to use. He’s only gotten to use it once so far — then was involved in a hit-and-run while biking home on his perfectly inflated tires. Be safe out there, bikers!

It's honestly amazing how little air comes through with each pump. You're definitely fighting against the pump itself first and then whatever you're pumping second. It's also hard to tell your PSI on the gauge. I guess they ran out of budget to type numbers.

I wanted a pump with a pressure gauge so this seemed like a great choice based on other reviews. It works and is quick to pump a tire. The only issue I have is with the valve head connector. In order for it to work on the presta valve, the valve almost needs to be completely covered. I did not attach it all the way the first time using it and the pump just started getting back pressure and would not fill the tire. Also the lock lever is a bit tight.

I'm over 180 lbs (and strong!), and I have to put my weight onto the handle to pump a hybrid bike tire to 80 psi. My son who's only 140 lbs and a senior in high school can't do it.I know how to use a bike pump, so I wondered if maybe the high volume of air for each pump is the reason it's so difficult. The few reviews that mention this seem to agree, but, unfortunately, I did not see them before purchasing. My last pump lasted about a decade, and while this one feels like it could also last that long (it does seem well made), I can't take it any more - I'm going to eat the cost and buy something usable.I should add that because of the large changes in pressure for each pump (and not always in the upward direction, strangely), I bought a separate gauge to check my tire pressure to make sure I wasn't going to make it burst. The Schwinn gauge and the secondary gauge matched closely enough that I trust the Schwinn gauge.

After less than 6 times of usage, it broke in half. Not from force, just a screw inside the whole thing which wasn't screwed properly and got loosened. It's unreachable unless you take the whole thing apart. Also: Good luck reaching out to customer service -- they all say they work for Schwinn but not for the Schwinn pumps...PS: It doesnt go above 80 PSI also, although the gauge says otherwise.

I was very pleased with this pump. I had several tires with slow leaks and it filled them quickly. Through my forgetfulness and carelessness I broke the nozzle that attaches the air hose to the bicycle tube. I bought this pump from a local store, however I would like to buy a new air-hose attachment that fits this pump. The pump is in perfect condition and would gladly continue using it.
