I went through 4 pairs of these, about a set per year, averaging 1000-1500 miles each year in a very hilly city and heavy loads (me + bike + groceries / gym gear / etc) and I do like the performance of these for all-weather all-season road riding. Half the price of OEM Hayes semi-metallic pads, but not as cheap as others, so a nice middle ground. I like that the packaging specifies these are lead / copper / asbestos free, which is probably something the cheaper pads can't claim. A lot of cheap metal from overseas is covered in lead.I eventually figured out that the shape of the braking material extends too far down (the round edge opposite from the tab), and this extra material hangs over the edge of my brake rotors where it doesn't get worn down with the rest of the pad. Eventually, a protruding bump of un-worn brake pad forms along the bottom edge, and after a while the two bumps TOUCH and prevented me from clamping my brakes on the rotor. Over a few days, I notice that my braking power slowly weakened, then stoped almost entirely. This happened on front and back, and I have Hayes MX4 calipers with OEM Hayes mounting brackets and Hayes rotors, so I don't think it's an alignment issue. On some of these pads, the little bump was so thin that it seems to have chipped off on its own and the brakes kept on working, but on the 3rd set the bump was like 2mm wide and quite strong so no amount of brake squeezing would break it off. Eventually I had to cut it off with wire cutters to keep using the pads. Ultimately I would need to chop off that entire area to make these safe to use all the way from new down to when they should be replaced without needed monitoring / modification.Check out the image I included of the OEM Hayes pads, notice the bottom edge of the pad does NOT extend to the bottom edge of the metal backing plate, but stops short. Now look at the Gekors, which have extra pad material that doesn't touch my rotors along that bottom edge.I'm only knocking off 2 stars for this product basically attempting to kill me by removing all my braking power, because there's a chance that on different setups the entire pad would be worn down, and then these are a decent choice for the money.

These pads were well made and they fit perfectly. However, a year later I had to replace them. as they had worn out in about 200 miles. Buying OEMs this time, even though they are much more expensive.

It did not arrive as two pair (= 4 if my math is correct). Only one pair showed up.

I opted to buy these instead of Hayes MX4 pads, as these are significantly cheaper. However, there's a reason these are cheaper: they wear extremely quickly. These pads have *completely* worn out over ~1.5 years. This is in contrast to the OEM pads, which lasted ~9 years.
