I love these headphones. they don’t go in your ears so you can still hear things around you. They are bone conducting and work amazingly well. Easy to connect to a device, easy to start and stop and they are pretty robust too. Highly recommend

I bought two in the same price range for comparison. This is just better in so many ways. The sound quality is so much better in high or low pitches. These are no unbearable metal ring sounds compared to the competition.

I use them for my long walks in an urban setting. I love that I listen to music and still hear the surrounding sounds like traffic, people running past and others talking. Sound quality is more than decent (bass is not as beefy as with earbuds but still good). The buttons could be a better but I don’t usually use them while walking so no big deal. Next test is to try them while cycling, just waiting for better weather.

Great product I love it. I can't use other headphones without getting headaches and this one works great. The customer service is excellent as well. They replaced the headphones promptly within the warranty period, when there was an issue with the right earbud.

This is what I was looking for!! I cannot stand anything inside my ears and these are really perfect.Of course, the audio quality for music is not comparable with earplugs but it is very pleasant. Most importantly for me talking to the phone is very natural, finally, I don' t feel talking into a box like for the earplug. I can now talk and interact with the external, i can now wear it for hours with no discomfort. it connects with no problem to my iphone, battery last days and it charge very very fast. my iphone is also give a % battery when is connected so you are always informed. the conviniece to put it in the pocket is not there anymore but you can easily put it on your head, neck or in the bag. Great product. I am happy i lost these stupid apple airplugs, always on the floor what's a pain

I have several sets at home for personal use. I also bought this one for work to use at on-line meetings.PACKAGING: premium;APPEARANCE: very good;COMFORT: good, but bigheads might have an issue;BATTERY LIFE: fair, I estimate it as 5-6 hours of podcast listening, not confirmed though;SOUND QUALITY: very good but vibrations at high volume;PHONE CALL SOUND AND MIC: you hear well but sometimes people on other side complain about hearing you not very well;MUSIC USABILITY: good, I cannot assess sound quality though;CHARGING: magnetic, sometimes indicates connection but does not charge;APP AND GAME USABILITY: mostly very good but sometimes drops the very first word;CONTROL: excellent, a dedicated button for calls and for start/stop stream;BATTERY LEVEL INDICATION: yes, voice.CONCLUSION: Very good product but the battery life is mediocre and the first unit get broken after about 1 year of everyday use. Other units are still intact but they are younger. I tried to opt out for cheaper brands (like Xiaomi) but they have their pros and cons and the cons are very annoying in my case. So, I keep using SHOKZ while whining about high price and mediocre battery life. ))

I’ve been using the SHOKZ OpenRun Wireless Bone Conduction Headphones for a few weeks now, and they’ve exceeded my expectations. These open-ear Bluetooth earphones provide an incredibly comfortable fit, allowing you to stay aware of your surroundings while still enjoying crisp, clear sound. The bone conduction technology ensures that sound is transmitted through your cheekbones, leaving your ears open for environmental awareness — perfect for outdoor activities like running or cycling. The sound quality is impressive, with rich bass and clear highs, especially considering they don’t sit inside your ears. The battery life is solid, offering up to 8 hours of playtime on a single charge, and they’re also quick to charge. The lightweight design makes them incredibly comfortable to wear for extended periods without any discomfort. The SHOKZ OpenRun is also rated IP67 for water and sweat resistance, making them ideal for workouts or outdoor adventures. If you’re looking for a pair of bone conduction headphones that offer both safety and superior audio quality, I highly recommend these.

Friend of mine recommended it because she knew I biked a lot, and so I wanted to give it a try. Honestly, for what I paid, it is definitely worth what I paid for. The sound quality is really good and clear, and ironically still makes it hard to hear people when you turn up the volume. When I use it when I'm biking, it is exceptional, I do put it up to the higher volumes but it still gets drowned out to some degree by traffic or ambient noise (i.e. wind). I also use it when I go climbing and it's so nice to listen to my own music and still be able to openly talk to other climbers. I think it makes it easier for me to talk to people and not make them feel like they're bothering me, because I enjoy talking to people in the climbing gym.As someone who also has a lot of issues with earwax build up and discomfort when I wear earbuds for long hours in a day, these bone conduction headphones are perfect for what I need and the battery enough for the day.Downside isn't necessarily the charging or battery life, it lasts the ideal length and I quickly plug it in for 30 mins - 1 hour at night. It's the charging plug not being a convenient, such as USB-C or Micro-USB port. I don't like dealing with one more additional cord to account for in my travels, as oppose to having a single universal cord.

I ordered these after trying an off brand on Amazon. The off brand was adequate but had a lot of sound bleed. When I received my first pair of Shokz Open Runs they were AWESOME. extremely light, flexible, comfortable, I could wear all day without a headache, sounded great, and battery lasted ALL DAY!!!These were my go to headset for about two months. One day they bugged out and started triggering my hands free assistant. After charging them overnight, as I usually do, they were unresponsive. The warranty claim was easy to initiate but was overall slower than expected turn around time. About fourish weeks from starting a claim to receiving a new headset. Still, receiving a new headset was a plus.Used my replacement headset for about two weeks and the very same thing happened again.Called the warranty number and talked to a real person in Texas. I explained and he asked me how long I charge the unit for. I responded overnight. He said thats probably why they keep shorting out....What? Its 2023. I havent had to time how long I charge something since I was a child and bought my toys at Radio Shack back in 1980. He told me it takes 2-3 hours to charge completely. Anything more may damage the battery. I asked is there no battery overcharge protection built into a $130 pair of headphones and he said no.Seriously good customer service experience overall but the product itself is lacking in durability. I don't have the time or brain power to remember to take a pair of headphones off the charger before they get damaged. After going over the included instructions, I can find no mention of charging times, however I do see operating temperatures and environments appropriate to its use. As seen in the photo, it states 32°-113°F. I work outside, in hot muggy Missouri,I sweat, profusely. I guess if you plan on sweating, don't use these outside in the summer, or winter, and plan your day around babysitting the charging of your headset, these might be the headset for you.I am returning mine for a refund. I hate giving low star rating. However no amount of customer service or usability can out weigh durability and an obvious flaw. I have hafld dozens of BT headsets from $-$$$. All of which have lasted years, charging overnight or longer. Please fix this issue and I would repurchase and give 6 stars if I could.UPDATEAbout two days after i emailed the company for an exchange (the refund window closed at 45 days) i was emailed a return lable. Less than a week after I made the phone call mentioned above, I received a replacement (and then some) in the mail. The product may have an issue but the 100% customers experience really does make up for the inconvenience. Keep innovative and refining your product, keep your A+ customer service, and you will dominate the wireless sound market.

I had heard from some people that they are comfortable and let you hear what's going on around you. It is true if the music is not turned up too loud. This is both a plus for safety and a minus because I have had trouble hearing my music on the SkyTrain when it is loud.I went to Best Buy to try on bone conduction headphones. I found the ones that were the most comfortable, but AfterShokz changed their brand name and all of the product names. When I asked the worker which one was equivalent, they pulled a pair out that was over $200 and had no idea which ones werr equivalent, and they don't let you return them if they don't fit properly! So I bought the comfortable ones on Amazon because someone had their thinking cap on and kept the old name and info on the product page, but sent me the new version. As far as I can tell they are exactly the same products just a new brand name (Shokz) and new product names. If you have not had bone conduction headphones before you should try them out before buying them. Especially if you wear glasses like me. I find that these ones don't interfere with my glasses. Also the music is a good volume for me, but where they sit relative to the bone does effects that. Before buying I noticed a lot of reviews complaining about fit and where the placement relative to the bone what decreasing the volume. The only thing that I don't like is that turning it off puts the volume up a notch as far as I can tell, but that's easily fixable.I don't think these headphones have noise cancelling but that's also not what I wanted (although the idea of bone conduction also being active noise cancelling is interesting, and I may have to try them out one day)
