NO interior (remote/electronics/transponder chip)unit inside this car key case.
The key blade of this key shell needs to be cut at your local dealer or qualified locksmith.
Please make sure the original remote looks the same as this case.

Bought for a 2015 lincoln mkc where the key ring attachment broke off. Swapped the remote rear hatch button off the original for the tailgate logo one on the new remote. First try, the lock and unlock button did not work, probably because I tried to save time and reused the old circuit board silicon. Swapped that out and all buttons now functional. Only downside is losing the Lincoln branding. You will need to take the battery divider material off your old fob to reuse as it's not included on this one.

I had a Ford FOB that got stepped on but still worked. The new case was a perfect fit for the electronics inside the FOB. Transferred the electronics to the new FOB shell and it work perfectly.
