ive owned these antennas for 27 years. bought from other dealers,etc. then I saw them for sale here on amazon.. I bought one.. it arrived...…… the middle section was lighter glass blue,and the top and bottoms were white.. the middle section had been repaired.. horribly.. it was bent like a banana.. had imperfections,and the threads on the end would not connect easily to the bottom section.... I returned and got a replacement.. it too arrived good shape,although it too looks like a middle section repair.. ill accept this one,but im sure these are solarcon returns or factory flawed...… overall. amazon was good and im happy...

I had one of these years ago (Antron), and eventually the fiberglass broke down due to normal wear and tear but the antenna always worked excellent. The best range and reliability for a reasonable price. The value is there and well worth it.

Ordered this product on December 23,2014 with express shipping never thought it would arrive before Christmas. I remember the delivery guy pulling in my driveway on December 24 with my package I couldn’t hardly believe it to be honest. It’s been a few years I feel that I can give this product a honest review. It’s been 4 years and I love this product as much as the first day I used it. The swr when I first got it was great and it is still great today. I have never had to tune this antenna. This antenna has stood up to some horrible weather and strong winds, and has never come crashing down. I live in Newfoundland, my house is 75 feet from the ocean even with the salt spray and moisture from the salt water this antenna is still looking and working great just wish it was as cheep now and it was back in 2014. Great product and was a great buy.

This was delivered in a timely manner and well packed . Other things got in the way and when I finally got to set it up and use it , it did not function .Testing revealed that there was an open circuit inside the antenna and this unit is made in such a way that taking it apart is not possible . Because too much time had elapsed between ordering and using , I cut the antenna into smaller pieces and threw it in the garbage ----- a total loss.

When I originally bought this it was a lot less money than what Amazon is selling it for now.... so I'm happy with it mainly because it represented a great value at well under $100, which is what I paid originally at the time. Not just as a CB antenna but also works well on 10 and 12 metre amateur bands with a little help from a tuner. There are also "tuning" rings at the antenna base that move the resonant frequency up/down a bit. Or you can trim it if you don't mind permanently changing the antenna's resonant frequency.

The A-99 performs excellent. This is My second one in 35 years. Its easy to assemble and relatively light to handle when mounting on a tower. I did have to tune the tuning rings to the top position to achieve a low swr of 1:1 on all 40 channels. Only one complaint is that the top whip was bent a little. Not enough of a concern to sent it back to Amazon but if I bought it from a local store I would have returned it.Larry

Excellent antenna. Easy assembly took about 10 mins to put it together. Very lightweight allowed me to install it myself without any help in less than an hour. No tuning required for 11 meter band, SWR was 1.2 from 26.555 MHz to 27.800 MHz. DX stations all over the USA and Canada gave excellent reports for signal strength, and I tested it locally by driving 16 km away from my house before the signal dropped below 9 S - units. Would highly recommend this antenna
