In 1928, at the age of twenty-two, Peter Beilenson began printing books on a small press in the basement of his parents’ home in Larchmont, New York. Peter—and later, his wife, Edna—sought to create fine books that sold at prices even a pauper could afford.

It had a lot of great features, like a place to write notes or the feel of the song, and even notation. There's a place for guitar chords too, I just wish there was for piano as well (maybe there is a separate book for that?)

This is overall, a beautifully put together book/songwriters journal. The beginning of the book, it gives guidance on songwriting and how to find inspiration. It gives ideas for song structure and content. 100% would recommend. (Hardback copy)

I was given one of these as a gift when I was heavy into my guitar days. I've bought a few more since because they are just the greatest thing to keep in your backpack for when you get "that idea for a song" in your head. Well presented with great artwork. The blank music pages seem eager for you to write something down. Great little journal.

Would like it better if it laid flat, but still a great book. One side for lyrics and the other for music. Something I hope will be used for years.
