As a woodworker who does stained glass as well and incorporates a lot of wood into my glass projects, this rasp is amazing. unlike my other typical rasp, this one is great for those "outside the norm" pieces of wood. Doesn't clog up and gives me the exact detail I'm looking for. Will probably buy a second one just so i can have on on each work table.

Simple, yet very efficient. The handles are secure, but sometimes I have to fiddle a bit when changing sides. The coarse side is pretty aggressive, so go slower is you don't have much thickness to work with. It doesn't get clogged like a regular rasp would. Can be cleaned with a simple wire brush in seconds, and you're good to go. Overall, an excellent product, a must have for any woodworker.

Western rasps gum up with material, but this thing won't. Low maintenance and high performing woodworking tool - what more could I ask for?Oh! And the seller gave me two guitar picks! Haha, that was cute. I haven't played guitar in decades but I think I'll give it a go sometime. When I'm not carving spoons or a small boat! Thanks!

The rasp is wonderful, but the handle is not wood as is shown in the picture. The seller right away offered return refund with paid return label, but I decided to keep the rasp despite the handle. I'll make a project of it. I'm going to make my own out of wood and change out the gammy plastic.

Anyone who does Wood work should own this tool. My dad had one when I was a kid. Exactly what I wanted. They haven’t changed the design in 30 years. Love it

Bought this on the recommendation of a professional guitar maker and am very pleased to say it was a great suggestion. It is a strange tool, but very useful for shaping wood carefully, but pretty efficiently. Don't go overboard with it as you will have to sand the piece later to get rid of the tool marks it leaves, but it takes off material well. So, worth it. It gives you good control, once you get the hang of it, and it does things my other tools just don't do. He swore by it in two different videos and he has a LOT of tools and does superb work... Says something. I am sure I will be using this a lot. It came in very handy last night on a picky problem. I'd never seen it before, but it does work quite well! The only thing I would change about it is that the front ball handle is not removable. It can get in the way of things in certain circumstances. If you are not in a tight situation, it gives great extra control, but in tight space - awkward. I will probably drill out the rivets and put bolts through it, so I can take it off when I want to. Other than that - really useful tool. They sell two versions of this - one with and one without the front handle. The one without is a bit cheaper, but it is nice to have the extra control if you can use it.
