This bullet level is pricey but it is well made. Fit and finish are great and the magnet is powerful. I was disappointed that the only thing that came in the box was the level itself. Stabila indicates that this level comes with a holster but there was none in the box. I did need to go to the Stabila web site to download some instructions for the level. Most importantly there are two screws on the back side of the rotating bubble. You need to loosen these screws before the bubble glass can be rotated to the different degree indications on the dial. I checked both the 0 and 90 degree orientations and they aligned well with the embedded bubble glass for those same positions. When I did my background research before buying this unit I was quite impressed with the quality control that goes into Stabila's fabrication process for levels, they really are very well made.

I don't know why its difficult to find a torpedo level with a grove for a conduit and a magnet. I wouldn't pay so much if I could find another alternative. The rare earth magnet is pretty good quality. Price is 2/5, not a bargain at all. They take advantage of the fact no other product has the same features. They say great things about brand quality. My first time using their item. I'm not unhappy with the product, it just seems overpriced to me.

Was worried at first. a lot of people saying it’s fake or Chinese, mine seems definitely authentic. The quality is amazing. Best torpedo I’ve used. The dial isn’t as useful as I thought it would be as a plumber, it tends to get stuck from dirt and metal dust. I don’t use it really either though. Is tough though glass is still crystal clear after lots of abuse and super accurate. If it is a fake, it’s a good enough fake I would gladly pay $85 for again.

I bought this level for use on my YouTube channel Planet Mojo. This is the top of the line torpedo level from a top of the line company - Stabila. The magnets are FAR stronger than any other torpedo level I have ever used, and this particular level has it's accuracy guaranteed for life. This is my second Stabila level, the other one is their biggest levels, the plate to plate level. I use this level to install propane lines in my self build post frame shop videos so head on over if you want to see it in use!

Nothing compares to stabila. Quality tools worth the little bit extra. If you appreciate the details and feel of a quality tool you won't be disappointed.I see some people complaining about their dial being off .5 of a degree on the dial. If you're worried about .5 of a degree a torpedo level probably isn't the tool you're looking for.

This level is so good that if Stabila made super cars, Lamborghini would go back to making tractors. It feels so good, Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder would enjoy this level. After two weeks of using this level, the magnet has added 50 pounds to my bench press.

I purchased this level with the Stabila 30003 Nylon Case.After careful consideration, and a long debate with myself, I finally decided to fork out the extra for the top-of-the-line Stabila level, versus the lower priced model. I'm glad I did.The level is of high quality, it's easy to use, and it's easy to see. The magnet is very strong. I have no worries about it falling off of metal pipe or conduit. This is an important piece of mind, given the cost of this precision tool. It fits very well and securely in the nylon holster (not included). If you've got the extra dough, you can't go wrong.I've been an industrial maintenance technician for 15+ years and have worked in many types of manufacturing and production type facilities. The challenges my tools face are steep. Every tool adds weight to my bag and must earn their place as highly valuable and a "must-have" tool. This has earned a permanent spot in my bag.The only con about this tool is the price. However, for those who know: you get what you pay for. High quality, precision, durability, and reliability are definitely aspects which accurately describe this tool.

The Germans know how to make a great torpedo level. I have used other torpedo levels and they usually get out of level after repeated drops on the shop floor. This one doesn't get out of level because the "bubble" is encased in the metal molding, so it never jars free or needs to be readjusted. The magnet is also stronger than the other torpedo levels I have used. The "bubbles" aren't too small either. Excellent and high quality product.
