We've had this at our coffee house for about three months now, maybe less. It replaced a unit that lasted three years. This new one however was much harder to press down from day one, and never got easier. Because of having to press on it with force, the plastic/rubber spoked disc has now cracked. Take a pass on this one and find another.

This is very hard to push down so much so that you need to have 2 hands on a glass to push it down. Don't recommend this brand/product.

It arrived as described, and so far it works fine. It uses a 1/2NPT thread. However the push-down mechanism feels cheap, if you do not center the downward force it binds and depresses with a jolt. We'll see how long it lasts.?
