My hot water tank would turn on for about 30 seconds then stop. I checked continuity on the element and it was good. So I bypassed the thermostat and the heater ran no problem. Pretty easy to replace. just remember that there will be 2 thermostats if you can use gas and shore power. The thermostat for 120v is on the left. Gas, which uses 12v, is on the right.

Easy to install and works fine. Replaced the original that seemed to not reset properly.
