I got a leak in the piece that bolts to the engine, holding the coolant temp sensor. I ordered this kit and got mechanic to replace with the aluminum part + gasket. The car is running leak free again and this aluminum part should be much stronger than the original plastic housing which is known to eventually fail. Glad this inexpensive kit is available to extend the life & reliability of these engines.

One of the most upgrade for 1.8T knowing the stock one are cheap and can broke anytime due to excessive heat by the time. These are very well designed, and quality are really nice .. really worth it and no more prestone leak.

The gasket was broken upon arrival!!! Now the main flange is useless unless you can get another gasket from who knows where. Also they do not specify if it's for a manual or an automatic as both are different part numbers.
