  • MADE IN THE USA: Swiftwick socks are made in the USA, an important commitment we make to our customers and local communities. Purchase includes one pair of socks.
  • SIGNATURE OLEFIN FIBRE: Made of high-performing, lightweight Olefin fibre that wicks moisture and dries quickly. Abrasion resistant, strong and colourfast. Material composition is 38% nylon, 25% Olefin fibre, 28% HG (cut-resistant fibre) and 9% spandex.
  • CUT-RESISTANT ZONES AND CHANNELLED UPPER: Cut-resistant fibre protects the Achilles and tibial tendons from skate lacerations. Thin channelled upper improves breathability.
  • SWEAT CHANNEL AND EJECTION PORT: The sweat channel directs excess moisture toward the bottom of the skate, while the ejection port eliminates excess moisture through holes in the skate footbed.
  • Y-HEEL CONTOUR AND SEAMLESS TOE: Y-shape stitch creates a contoured heel pocket that moves with the foot. Virtually invisible toe seam eliminates friction in the toebox.

This is actually the second time I have bought these socks. The first pair I bought to help minimize the risk of a random skate cut should it ever happen. As I have not been in a situation yet where I've come into contact with a skate blade I can't testify to how much protection these will actually provide, but they seem well made enough to provide at least some protection to do the job. They are very comfortable and the moisture wicking material works well. I play rec league hockey once a week and I got about 14-18 months out of my first pair till I ripped one at the heel when getting dressed for a game. That was a little discouraging but I liked them well enough to buy a new pair again.

Struggling to find a balance between my daughter overheating and being protected (her preference being to wear just shorts under her gear, leaving exposed skin behind her leg pads) these socks fit the bill. We tried heat gear leggings, but she was still too hot and was hiking them up. These are so comfortable that after practice she is still wearing them. At 10 years old, the top of the size small socks go just above her knees. Have only had them for a few weeks. so not sure about the longevity.

My 9 year old son has been using Swiftwick hockey socks for about a month. He has tried Reebok, Bauer, and CCM hockey Skate socks and the Swiftwick are the most comfortable and protective. There are also NHL players using this sock and that says all that I need to know about them!

Bought these as a second pair of cut resistant socks for my 14-year old, who is playing frequently enough now that we needed something for him to use while the others were being washed. Wore them in rotation with his previous pair (which are going on 2 years of use) for a couple of weeks, and there are holes worn in these already. This is after maybe 5 wearings. He liked the fit and feel of them, but at slightly more expensive than his other pair, can't take the chance that they won't hold up. Returning and going with a second pair of the original brand we used. I've got a pair of cut resistant socks from a third brand as well that I've been using for 3+ years that are still fine as well, so this would appear to be an issue with this make in particular.

Purchased for my 12 year old son. He loves them. Fit well. Hopefully never have to test the cut resistance but it gives me a little more peace of mind.

These socks were better than I had expected. I play and ref a lot of hockey and had been using the Reebok 20k with Dyneema® (the worlds strongest fiber). These were a great sock until the toes began developing holes in them (I do wear them 2-3 times a week skating) over the course of two years. So, I found these socks to replace them and I'm so glad. They're a bit pricey, but extremely comfortable and feet are still thanking me :) This sock is the "Cadillac" of compression socks -- soft, comfortable and helps me stay on my feet longer especially when I'm reffing 2-3 games in a row. I highly recommend them if it's in your budget. However, there are alternatives at a lower price point.
