Bought two of them to have different paint schemes! I would suggest though to use a fishing line and super glue to get a proper sag in the track when you are near the finish line. The overall fit is awesome!

Tamyia are always excellent when it comes to armour and this it no different, the details are excellent, and no warping of the plastic.

Modelo ideal para iniciarse en el mundo de las maquetas militares: gran tamaño, fácil de montar, encajes perfectos,... todo calidad.Quizás algo simple para modelistas expertos pero estupenda para principiantes.Totalmente recomendable.

This Tamiya kit is pretty old now - many of the parts are from the 1989 mid production kit. At any rate, this early version contains parts for vehicles produced March to May 1943. The moulds themselves are typical 90's Tamiya - decent, little flash with perhaps oversimplified detail. Unless you're entering a contest, it will look pretty good. A commander is included, and he is not too bad.As far as painting, Tamiya did not have the correct information, and thus the boxart and instructions are wrong. The Tiger 332 pictured on the box was in fact painted in the first tropical scheme. In reality, only about 25 Tigers were painted grey; and we know what units received them. As for the decals, the tanks that had these markings had different details than depicted in the kit. (Such as Porsche mantlets, later feifel system, spare tracks, turret bins, etc.)If you are not too worried about that, they can be used freely. One annoying point is Tamiya insists on selling the crucial engine fan covers seperately, when all other kits include them. If you want more accuracy and included PE, you may want to spend a couple more bucks and get the RFM tiger.

Havent built it yet, but it looks really good. I couldn't see any issues with the pieces - no flash, and the details look great. Can't wait to start it.

tl;dr version: If you have modest experience at building and you want a nice Tiger to build and enjoy, this kit is for you. However, if your AMS is flaring up, you may want to go with a Dragon.Abstract: In 1989, Tamiya released a new-tool, state of the art kit of a Late Tiger I. It was wonderful in every way. Then in 1997, they altered the molds to release an Early Tiger I. That is what this kit is. So yeah, the design is 20 years old now.I mentioned Advanced Modeling Syndrome and Dragons - if you're the type of modeler that needs every single detail to be perfect and you expect a box full of bells and whistles like aluminum barrels and lots of PE, then you may want a new Dragon kit.Yeah. In many ways, the Dragons are superior. So why did I give this one 5 stars? Because it's a nice intermediate kit. No fit issues. Parts go together nicely. Well-engineered. No shape issues. And no FLASH! That is a miracle considering the molds are 20 years old! Remember the old old tracks where you'd use your daddy's flat screwdriver over a flame to mely little tabs to hold the ends together? Not a problem any more - the plastic responds well to model cement so all you have to do is glue them now. No more buttchewings for carbonizing up Dad's screwdriver blades! And that's why I gave this kit 5 stars. It is fine for what it is. Buy it, build it, and have fun!
