The flint rod wasn't a flint rod . Cannot create a spark . Its looks more like a coated metal rod . Looks cool, the whistle and compass both work nice but was super bummed about the flint rod

Mine came with steel rod in place of the flint metal. Does not work for starting fires. Do not use for real survival situations.

I bought this for my husband for valentine's day. He's an outfitter here in Northern Ontario and is constantly looking for outdoor gear that is easy to use. He loves the size of the bracelet and loves the number of features it has. The compass works very well and is easy to read as well. The flint works very well and is a clever part of the design. The whistle works very very well and he loves the volume it gets up to. There's nothing I would change about this product.
