Product Description

Ticonn faraday bag

Why do you need the Faraday Bag?

Modern keyless fobs carry identification chips that pick up radio signals sent out by their car. The vehicle recognizes the fob when it's in range and unlocks the doors. Keyless ignition systems work in the same way - enabling cars to start when the key fob is detected in the cabin. Criminals can exploit this via a wireless relay attack. Using a radio frequency relay booster, it's possible to pick up and then transmit a key fob signal to trick the car into thinking a fob is present. This enables entry and theft from the cabin or boot - and, in the case of keyless ignition systems, theft of the vehicle itself. Thanks to its 100% signal jamming capability, TICONN Faraday bag can completely isolate your fob to make such attacks impossible - giving you complete peace of mind as a protector against data loss.

the correct way to use a faraday bag

Attention:

  1. Please make sure your vehicle key fob is put in to inner layer since only the Inner layer blocks signals
  2. The size of these Faraday bags is only designed for car key fob, not suit for mobile phones.
  3. Please do not wash the Faraday bag; keep the interior dry, or it may lose signal-blocking function.

These faraday bags are almost a must nowadays, especially for someone who owns a highly sought after vehicle (from theft). Some insurance companies insist on you having them or they won't cover loss. This one works excellent but there are a few things to note: one is that there are two pouches in each bag but only one of the two stops your signal, make sure you place you keys in the inner (grayish coloured lined) pouch...next how to test to ensure it is blocking your signal. Place your fob in the inner pouch and try to unlock/lock/start your vehicle, if no response that means it is protecting your investment and finally, my experience is that the bag is only good for about a year. Day in day out putting the fob in the pouch and taking it out, wears out the faraday lining. You may not even notice it worn out, because it'll be ever so little. That's why you should test the bag weekly to ensure it is still blocking the signal because, trust me, it will wear out and you will have to replace it. Highly recommend.

I put my Key FOB into the pouch and walked right up to my truck to test it. The Fob was completely blocked from the truck auto detection circuit. Pouch is a bit small but works great.

Honest review: I am totally impressed that in this price range we get 2 Faraday bags and it really works. At first I did not believe the reviews. But believe me it really works. One thing we have to put the key or Card at the back pocket for it to mask the RFID. Planning of our hasing few more.

Does what it's supposed to. Walked right up to my dads Ranger and nada, car wouldn't lock or unlock.Personally I think the bag is a decent size, I don't find it too big like some people have said. It could definitely fit in your pocket. I bought these to keep the spare car keys in since they never leave the house. Better safe than sorry.

I received the Premium Faraday Bag key fob end of June 2021, and after 8 months the casing no longer blocks the signal. I can fully open and start the vehicle with the key fob being inside the casing. I tried the same test with a spare/unused Premium Faraday Bag key fob and the casing worked, the signal was blocked and I was unable to open my car doors. I find this very disappointing as I didn't expect a casing to be defective after roughly 8 months of regular usage, and especially at the price point in comparison to the market. So the question is, what I am suppose to do with a defective casing that no longer serves its original purpose? Well, the answer is nothing as according to the original seller. There is zero customer support for products after a certain period, just as an fyi. I was hoping the casing would last me minimum 5 years, as oppose to 8 months. At least that's what I thought when purchasing the product. Now you know my personal experience. Take the time to read the reviews, some are helpful.

The 2Pk of key/card Signal Blockers are reasonably made, and they work as advertised: I unlocked and got into my car using my fob, put the FOB in the case, and tried to lock the doors, start the engine, etc and nothing happened. Got out of the car and tried to lock it without using the FOB and nothing happened. Took the FOB out of the case, and I could lock and unlock the car, get in and start the engine, and so on. So the case was definitely blocking whatever radio transmissions the car was waiting to receive. But the stitching on one of the cases let go (with very light use) within a couple weeks (see pictures) - the stitching was just too close to the edge of the case material, and normal use pulled the stitching out. The other case is still fine, so far. I gave 3 stars because one out of two cases does what I bought them to do, the other can't be trusted. I'll try to repair the stitching myself, which might make the case trustworthy again, but I shouldn't have to do a repair like this just after purchase.I'd prefer the case wasn't so tight around the FOB, or made of slightly softer more pliable material which might not tug so hard on the stitches when the FOB is inside. Its not an unsurmountable problem for an otherwise workable product, but one that should be addressed.

Just make sure you slide the FOB into the back part to stop it from transmitting. You’ll know as it won’t let you open the doors by hand (if you have that feature) or start the car. It’s a bit large for your pants or purse which can be a good thing. I like how the Fob attaches to a chain that’s attached to the bag. I like how there is a slot to put the fob when you need it to work. I can put it at my front door now with no worries. Worth the $ for sure. Peace of mind too.

Forecast delivery (ordered July 16) was for July 28 to Aug 8; Actual delivery was July 22. Impressive.appears to be well made; holds 1 key fob.I bought these 2 items because our backup keys hang near our front door, and I was concerned with recent news reports of driveway car thefts using electronic devices to activate these keys and open/start a car. With the key fob in the bag I was unable to open the car door as I approached it.So it works as advertised, and I'm delighted.

Look good and work at blocking RFID signal on new 2019 Ford Focus. These are the new upgraded version of the key fobs that stop emitting the signal after a few minutes away from the car. I was still worried that the low life scum would eventually come up with a way of scanning them so opted for these. I have tested both after a few minutes when I thought the key had stopped sending signal and also less time when I thought they would still be active, work fine both times. The pouches look, nice material in a carbon fiber type weave. I say ok as they are a bit bulky, they have the main keyfob pouch lined with special RFID blocking material. They also have a second non lined pouch and I will use it to double up as a wallet to carry a bit of cash and a couple of cards, just to cut down on all the clutter that I now seem to when leaving the house. Stitching looks good, The key chain hook is a bit cheap and the springs are not great hence the 4 stars.Having tried a more expensive one prior to this that didn't work st all, I was sceptical and ready to send straight back, but they work and with two for the price , I think they're a bargain.Durability remains to be seen.
