Truth is I pick this up for when I just need a little project and didn't want to pull out the one I home made from a old well tank and it just is not hot enough. Aluminum it works ok anything else meaning copper or brass ur just wasting propaneI would like to do an update. The seller sent me another one and I have to admit the burner and regulator felt better and after i got it all lined up and tighten down it works great the burner sounds better the regulator works right. I do believe they have done better on the insulation as well,it seems more put together and not all flaky like the first one. I was infact able to easily melt brass in it which has the higher melting point of the 3 metal you would be melting the most, aluminum copper and brass. So to conclude if your like me and looking for something adorable to quickly bring out for a small project I would actually now recommend this. And I won't to say it's not bad on propane now ,I used it all day and just went through one 5 gallon bottle.

safety gloves are junk they will fall apart. the pair that i was sent opened up between the thumb and the pointer finger after the 10th time using them coursing me to get burned and the 12kg pot broke into two pieces.

I should of looked more into it 12kg is way to big should of ordered the 6kg and the tongs givin are not made for pourring

Vraiment déçu. Le boyau d'alimentation a fondu et s'est enflammé, L'isolant thermique est arrivé craquelé, la penture qui est sensé tenir le couvercle était brisée, les pinces pour creuset sont nettement trop petite, les gants ont littéralement brûlé dès la première utilisation, la laine thermique du couvercle s'est complètement désintégrée (du début elle avait été installée en tapon n'importe comment), le trou qui accueil le brûleur est trop grand, mal soudé et mal aligné ce qui crée un sifflement sonore infernal. Pire expérience d'achat en ligne de ma vie. Gardez l'oeil ouvert si vous utilisez cet appareil. Vraiment dangereux et inefficace.

I was a bit skeptical about buying this on Amazon but when I got it, I couldn't be happier. Very well built!! Comes with everything you need to get started, gloves, thongs, a tray for your melted metal, everything!! Easy to use so if you a beginner just starting to melt metal, this is great for you. Definitely worth the money. So happy with my purchase, would definitely get another if I needed it!!

Tongs that come with it are alittle short, and they don't work that well for pouring, you have to hold the top which makes it weird to pour out the metal.

From childhood, I have always wanted to own a furnace and melt different metals and make an art piece of my own, now when I can afford one furnace then I decided to try my luck and purchased this product. The product came quickly, thanks to Amazon for local warehouse shipping. The furnace and other parts are made of good quality, and easy to use. Did my first project with aluminum cans, melted them using this furnace, and made one small paper weight, it was an amazing experience. Love this product and planning to develop melting as a hobby in near future.

Original Review: Setup is simple. Actually running it has been more complicated. The instructions say to set the gas regulator psi to one level for ignition and then to turn it up to another specific psi after ignition, the problem with this is that there is no labeling on the gas regulator knob to let you know what the psi is currently set to, the pictures of the product also shows the air intake as being adjustable, the product I received doesn’t have this feature. After several tries, I haven't actually been able to melt anything. Basically, it is a huge and expensive paperweight at this point.Update: The company reached out and sent me an updated regulator setup. It is definitely an improvement from the previous version. It is still a little difficult to regulate but it is at least possible to get in the range. I'm moving from one star to three stars.I do want to make it clear that they did not ask me to change the rating and did not offer me anything beyond sending the updated regulator free of charge.
