I received this from Amazon the other day and this product works perfectly! I was actually more impressed than I thought I would be. First of all YOU MUST HAVE DIMMABLE LIGHTS! If you purchased LED lights for this make sure they are dimmable because they do sell them as “non-dimmable”. So I did that and installed it and works great. This switch even turns off if you push all the way in. Great purchase very happy 😃

This is absolutely delightful for the intended purpose. I have a blue lightbulb and wanted some soft light for gentle atmosphere. It absolutely worked to dim the light and it extends it to a good brightness as well. I haven't used it for a sound-based product. It is designed well, appears durable, and easy to use/install. It is very intuitive.

I purchased this from the used section and am delighted with the performance. Dimming my small table lamp with LED was my requirement, and this item is absolutely perfect. No wiring required - the dimmer sits inline with the outlet. Well made. I can recommend.

Bought to replace a very old dimming connection that started flickering. This one works great and the dimming options are very accurately sensitive in small increments.

No surprises with this product, it works just like you would expect. Plug your lamp into the extension cord, plug the extension cord into the wall socket. You're done. I'm using it with an incandescent bulb, and the dimming function is very smooth. I assume that it would work just as well with an LED. I'm no expert, but it feels like it is good quality. Little felt pads on the bottom of the controller help keep it in place without additional adhesion.

A had a studio lamp plugged into this for about 30 minutes at 70%. All of a sudden I could smell burning, open up the softbox, and there's literal smoke coming from my bulb! I've used all the same gear for a long time now, and never had an issue. A few minutes into using this dimmer switch and it destroyed my bulb. I don't even dare ever use these again, for fear I could destroy my gear, or worse, burn my house down!Also, no matter what percentage you have it at (even 100%) it makes a buzzing sound.Also, it only works between about 70% - 100%. Any lower than about 70% and the bulb starts to strobe, which obviously ruins the point of the dimmer switch entirely.I not only feel ripped off, but I want to be compensated for my damaged bulb.

Fantastic for my bedside lamps. I used 3m removable sticky things ( from 3m removable hangers) to affix to table lamp bases. Now we have fully adjustable lighting.Note that if you use led bulbs, they must be the dimmable ones. Highly recommend.

This works exactly as described. Note, though, that you cannot turn the light completely off with the dimmer switch.
