Purposely took photos to share with everyone. That metal pin that connect the upper body to the rest is being held in place by very little plastic. As you can see, one side broke off on this and I only noticed that it broke because the plastic was dangling. There was no audible snap or crack before hand. The plastic was just broken.
love the examples

It’s a great set, my only gripes being that the bikes are small

I have owned the original SS32 and SS35 figures on 2 seperate occasions. I transformed them easily 100+ times and never had a break. The plastic quality in these re-issues is subpar to say the least. Tabs and joints are softer and more prone to flexing/stress/breakage. Parts do not fit together the way they should. I honestly would recommend shelling out for the original runs of these figures.

I've missed out on most of Studio Series though got reinvested in 2023 with ROTB and SS86. This set never was on my radar or my immediate buy list as I have the originals still from 2009. Only one I did have was the ROTF SS Voyager Optimus which I never was really impressed with in how much smaller it was than the HFTD Voyager, and the drab colors and unpainted wheels didn't help it either The deciding factor for me here was the brighter colors on the truck and a chance to get the impossible to find SS Jetfire. I think after market is actually more than this set itself.Biggest surprise here is I thought Optimus was just a straight recolor of the original voyager but a lot more has been changed on this release than I thought. I think this may have been the DOTM release with the trailer only without the chest changed. Transforms very much like the original with the biggest difference being the chest windows fold out from the back and don't accordion between the arms. Also no matrix or chamber. Transformation though in the front is made a little more difficult by it. Gas tanks on the sides have also been completely remolded. Overall the truck actually looks better proportionately and brighter colors/silver paint improve a lot from the original. Same hard plastic swords are also included which for me was the best part of the original release. Not much to say about Jetfire as he comes package in jet mode and I haven't gotten around to the transformation. Quite a bit smaller than the original which is to be expected but still respectably sized. A very nice replica of the SR 71 Blackbird with flip out landing gear in the back and the walking cane folded up in the front for the forward wheel. Nicely reminiscent of the original. Near perfect if you don't mind the underside kibble or massive head jutting out beneath the fuselage. Instead of the forward gun of the original this time around you get a very cool double bladed axe in black plastic with the curved blades in silver paint. While not painted has a very nice shine to it, and most of the details of the original are painted here as well save the scratched up Decepticon symbols. Feels really good in hand to. Much better feel than any of the 15th Anniversary 2007 Decepticons. Not a big fan of the triplets. The colors are vibrant, and painted detail is really good for as small as they are. Scale is almost too small for what these designs are trying to do and that is to transform into some strange simbalance of a robot. TBF the designs aren't exactly conventional and play friendly as most of the consist of a mushroom peg that hardly has clearance to spin around, and the limbs are ball jointed in a way that will have them popping off very easily. Especially in the case of Chromia. Once you do puzzle them out they look decent and display fine. While I can get Arcee, and Elita 1 to balance, Chromia just falls over. I still don't think I have this one transformed right. As for accessories each comes with a weapon of sorts arm them in robot mode, and a specific stand to keep them upright.Overall not a bad buy for the discounted price and probably worth the Jetfire figure alone. Optimus is an improvement over the original voyager, but the tripletes could have easily been replaced by either Ratchet or Sideswipe to make up that price point. Probably an easy pass for anyone who has the originals as the Jetfire is apparently identical to the original release but if you don't a good pickup for the price.

My Jetfire was build wrong in the head. His beard like wings on the side of his head used 2 of the same pieces so one side of his face looks very deformed. One of his beard wings were built faced down. Hasbro you failed me yet again
